So, after showing my nature loving daughter the slug eating video, she wanted to go see it for herself. We found it off in the grass, trying to suck down another prey it came across. At first we thought it was another slug, but it turned out to be another, albeit extremely smaller, snail. Well, an empty shell we found out after the video cut out, and we picked it up. I learned something tonight that I never knew, or a factoid I ignored from some book/documentary. Initially, I went to go get something from the store. As I stepped out off the porch, I saw the glistening body of this snail, avoiding crushing it. I usually take pictures to share with my nature loving daughter, but I saw a slug nearby, and thought to record how they interact. I did not expect what happened in the video. Had another pleasant night sleeping out like suspended burritos. My boy used a Sleepcell 30, Thermarest Trail Scout, SOL E-bivy, and a TravelHammock Single. I used my AlpineDesigns Microlite45, Thermarest Trail Pro, and a ENO Single Nest. He woke up toasty, and the temps in the Florida Panhandle hit 48F for us. It made having a S'mores roasting fire easier to be around. He started the fire with the "Steel Wool and 9 Volt battery" method. We had one of the dogs that was certain he needed to camp out with us.
Week 11 Wednesday Oct 19
It has been the usual Tuesday and Friday routine, with Thursday thrown into it. Still doing the warm up stretch and 100 yard walk, then jogging the rest of each half mile, but ending the last lap with a 100 yard full out run. All totalling 3 miles. Wednesday is still walking 3 miles. Tonight was averaging 12 minutes 47 seconds. Saturday has been 2 miles at the obstacle track with my son. Since his weapons class got moved to Friday nights, we plan on riding bike for two miles. Totalling 14 miles a week.
Love science! Any excuse to get me outside.

Saturday was spent mowing, and then camping out. Tonight though, was another good track trip like Friday.
