My small practice is about providing a space for queer, allied, individuals of diversity and people of color. It’s about providing the best psychotherapy I can offer. Making it as accessible as I can. Far too often therapist claim to know “how to work” with queer, trans people, people of color, and individuals of diversity. Years of hearing clients stories tells me otherwise. So many wait lists, so much misguided heteronormative, racially ignorant interventions, so much expense, too many negative experiences with incompetence and bureaucracy. With many clinics you get who you get, no choice. For many clinics it’s just a business, an insurance mill. But there’s hope. It been said “ If they don't give you a seat at the table, bring a folding chair. “ Shirley Chisholm. Well there’s a seat for you here. For psychotherapist like me this is more than a business it’s a mission. It’s a mission I have dedicated my life, my practice and my doctoral education to. But this isn’t about me it’s about you and your experience. It’s about what the standard should be sex positive, gender affirming, POC affirmative, “keeping it real” therapy for you. If your ready to do the work there’s always hope. If it’s a match, there’s a chair waiting for you. https://www.instagram.com/p/B605KRVgOUh/?igshid=r2c49qr9oo9l
