glad for a new bap skin but god I wish they didn't make his eyes blue for no reason like why does overwatch take any possible opportunity to give black characters blue eyes... not only is it kinda 😬😬 but it also looks super bad on this skin

and they didn't even make his immortally field look cool or anything... the gun is kinda mid... it just feels like the bap skin is obviously the one they spent the least amount of effort on compared to the other archangel skins which is just kinda annoying.... but whatever i complain when bap gets skins and i complain when he doesn't i truly am an overwatch player (never happy)

This is Baptiste from Overwatch, one of my favorite characters of all time!

He's a combat medic whose ultimate life goal is to provide medical access to those who need it most. He's faced the reprocessions of war, growing up an orphan due to it. But instead of it leaving him sour and bitter- it shaped him into an optimist who holds out hope for humanity. He's from Haiti and speaks both English and Haitian Creole.

One thing I love about Baptiste is that despite being a positive and bright person, he joins Talon (the 'bad' guys) without understanding their true intents. It gives him a complex background that really emphasizes how anyone can fall victim to propaganda. He's able to find out that they're not the best, and departs from them.

I love Baptiste because he reminds me of what I aspire to be. A positive influence in the world who sees the glass as half full. Someone who can take care of themselves and who is strong, but soft and gentle enough to empathize with others too.

Also he's a bi icon (canonically!) And has some voice lines where he flirts with another dude and I think that's awesome because you don't see a lot of casual bi representation in media (in my experience at least)

I love his name. "Baptiste". Them Haitian men... Whew! 🥵😍 anyway! One thing I love, and many of you have posted them, is showing that Black men and masculinity can be strong, gentle, and loving. Like trust, I recognize the existence of toxic masculinity, but there is a line where people start easily fall right into antiblackness and the idea of Black men as brutes. I can't stand it. Also, bi Black men are real and valid and I love them 💕
