I recorded myself playing Dishonored last night.

...So the Evolve 'Big Alpha' is off to a splendid start. Got into one game at about 10am, that lagged and kicked me off. Then matchmaking servers went down for everyone. Now the matchmaking servers pair you with people and kick you out when it comes time to play. I know it's only an Alpha test, but you'd figure we could at least get to where we can find some actual problems in the game itself instead of dealing with these server issues.

On the plus side, I got this awesome screenshot of not actual gameplay.

Okay, going to stop for now and try again tomorrow. This has just left me a little irked.

I might not like these characters, but I in no way look down on those that do. That being said, I like tagging my posts because people who disagree can find them and write great rebuttals as you and Lysandre Labs did. I like having my notions and opinions of the game challenged. And while it can be argued I need to tone back the anger and spite in some of my posts, I won't stop writing them, or tagging them.

To be honest, I suffer heavily from rose colored glasses. If you look at some of my other posts, I praise Giovanni, who was probably the most generic villain the games have ever had. So yeah, thinking a little bit harder about B&W, it wasn’t as good as I make it seem. I do stand by my assertion that Pokemon plots don’t go above ‘meh’

I will admit, I haven’t gone past the point of my most recent picture posts. So the idea of him giving a chance to stop his actions with hitting that button further on, actually makes me like him more. Like he really doesn’t want to go through with it, but doesn’t see any other way with his morals and pride. He wants you to stop him. But the idea that only people in team flare, which you can become apart of with money, would survive, seemed like a fairly not so subtle jab at modern societal issues. Either Lysandre doesn’t care, or is the victim of terrible characterization. Either way, I don’t see a reason to not hate him.

Still not a fan of Team Flare. They might not be as malicious, but stupid isn’t much better. They’re boring, and that is the most unforgivable characteristic I can give to a secret group, bent on taking over the world. If they showed more character, and made it seem like they were picked with care by Lysandre, they would be much better villains, and I’d be willing to cut them slack. As it stands, they’re boring and my rose colored memories of older games will over shadow this game.

Oh my god!! (Sorry. Rant break.)

I have never been one to call the story in the pokemon games anything more than 'meh' but this plot in X and Y is horrible! Everything else about the games has been so much fun, but then you have to interact with your starting group, or talk with Professor Sexy Hair about his good, totally not evil friend, WHO EVERYONE CAN SEE IS EVIL, and it just makes me want to stab my game! And their motivations! OH MY GOD! They have the worst motivations ever! Ugly things and unproductive people must die? What? Was calling them 'Team Republicans' not hitting the nail quite right? I loved Black and White's villain. There was intrigue. There was real motive. THERE WAS A REVEAL I ACTUALLY DIDN'T SEE COMING AND WORKED! The villain was subtle, until the end, but it was surprising! It wasn't Shakespeare, but it showed that Pokemon could be more than a generic villain. THIS IS BULLSHIT!! I hate Team Flare. I hate Lysandre. And I hate being so damn railroaded on so uninspired a plot!!
