😳 (ill take up that kissing offer with Edwin, if you cool with that)
It’s a terribly cold evening when Edwin leans against the old Camry with Liam at his side. He isn’t sure how he got there, or how they had gotten so close together like this. It could’ve been the icy asphalt road, or maybe something else. Either way, something happened.
His lips are soft against the other boy’s as he rests an arm near his head on the side of the car. His eyes are wide with surprise and fear as he pulls away, he backs up into the gas tank behind him before chuckling nervously. He’s always nervous so this isn’t anything new but, there’s something else behind those jittery hands of his that fly up in defense.
“S-Sorry! I-I didn’t mean to do that. The road was just really slippery and I didn’t think you’d move! Uh.. sorry”, he apologizes again, gaze casted to the side for a second in deep thought.
When he resurfaces, he looks ashamed. His features seem to redden and he covers his mouth with a few shy, timid fingers. He doesn’t know what else to say, he’s afraid that his own thoughts might betray him.
Liam stood next the Edwin looking around at the blackened landscape, the only source of light luminating from the petrol station. He was unsure how they both arrived here, but wasn’t going to question it further.
He was taken by surprise as Edwin’s lips rested upon his, Liam didn’t resist his sudden move but instead decided to kiss him back. As the timid man backed up, with a nervous look on his face. Liam opened his eyes again and looked over at the flustered Edwin.
“no need to apologise…although it was sudden and accidental, your a pretty decent kisser y'know?” Liam had a warm look in his eyes and his voice sounded calm and relaxed, although his face was tinted a light red.
He let out a light chuckle as he watched Edwin’s timid gestures and movements, though Liam stayed where he was, still leaning on the side of the car.
He looked like he could’ve choked at those words, and he probably would’ve too. Edwin laughs awkwardly and straightens himself up a bit.
“You don’t mean that”, he says with an aloof grin.
The only reason Liam might’ve even said that is because of how much he’s been practicing. Not with anyone, but with the crook of his elbow. It was Senior prom and there was this person that Edwin has been looking forward to asking out. It was a bold move by far, even when Edith doubted he’d have the balls to go and talk to her. He had this dumb look on his face, one filled with hope and courage, how sad it was when she declined him. Her boyfriend had shown up at the little meeting place too. What probably sucked the most was the part about getting shoved into the garbage can.
Currently, he was scratching the back of his neck. His eyes were curious as he stares at Liam; wondering if his words were true on the behalf of how warm his gaze was. It made Edwin feel fuzzy at the cheek and queer in the chest.
“Just to be sure though…”
“Do.. you.. want to do that again?”, he asks anxiously.
…
After a long pause, he coughs into his fist before chuckling again.
“Just kidding..! Haha sorry if that was weird, I can drive us home if you want”
Liam adjusted his leaning position to be more comfortable, he looked over Edwin as he laughed awkwardly, his expression softened. “I mean what I say, trust me I know from experience”
Liam’s had his fair share of relationships in his life, before all of this, it was a mix of good and loving relationships, along with some not so good and horrid relationships.
Liam stopped leaning against the car to stand upright, leaning his weight from foot to foot. He looked somewhat surprised; while keeping the warm look in his eyes; when Edwin asked his question.
“I’m up for round two, if you are, Edwin” his voice still sounded relaxed but with a hint of flirting, moving his hair out of his face.
“Oh man”, he sounds surprised himself.
“Okay”, he flushes as he starts to get a little closer to Liam.
Edwin’s hands gingerly reach out to cup Liam’s face as he starts to close the gap between himself and the other boy. His lips ghost over Liam’s and he closes his eyes before he kisses him. It’s a little more curious this time, not as short as the last one. It’s still awkward nevertheless and you could feel his lips perk up into a smile as he pulls back before going back in.
When he’s felt that it’s been long enough, Edwin moves his hands and steps back.
“There”, he feels a little proud about it now that it was on purpose this time
As Edwin came closer for round two, Liam placed an arm around his back and pulled him in.
Liam was curious the second time around as well, definitely more passionate than the first. He kept a strong but gentle hold on Edwin’s waist during the whole thing, he felt the others lips perk into a smile as he took a small breath while Liam let out a light chuckle.
Once Edwin began to back up once he was done, Liam let go of the boys waist and lips. He opened his eyes and looked back over at him, the same relaxed but warm look in his eyes.
“I can definitely say for certain your a great kisser this time around” Liam spoke, letting out a soft chuckle as it was more obvious now that his face was blushed and had a warm smile on his face.
His cheeks tint a new shade of red as he felt the other hold him steady from the last bout of kissing. Maybe he wasn’t lying about the whole “being a great kisser thing”, not that he had been hoping that he was lying to begin with. All he can say now is, he’s got something to tell his sister when he got home this evening. The bookworm laughs breathlessly for a second before eyeing Liam for a second.
“You’re.. not too bad yourself”, he says before going to open the door to his car.
