Art work from the 1 Week Art Therapy Foundation Course - a week of visiting Art Therapist presenting their case studies from various therapeutic fields such as palliative care, young children and adults in the criminal justice system. We spent every afternoon doing experiential workshops focusing on ourselves and our inner feelings, using a variety of different techniques and materials. Afterwards we reflected on the workshop as a group, as a client and therapist would do in an art therapy session.

Art in Crisis session in St.Helens, working with a small group of Crisis members. Together we made small painted clay pots and used iron on transfers and stencilled type to customise plain t shirts.

Embroidery detail from the visual map I've been making with Crisis Members.

The (very nearly) finished visual map of Birkenhead I've been working on with Crisis members and a lead artist for the last 8 weeks. Drawing from photographs taken of significant monuments and areas in the town. Using special iron on paper to transfer the drawings onto a large piece of fabric and adding embroidery to the map. A great project which will be exhibited at FACT gallery on the 22nd July.

I was commissioned to create a series of new, positive, and uplifting illustrations for a mental well being mobile phone app called 'InHand'. The project is run by Freehand, a young people's programme at FACT (Foundation for Art and Creative Technology), which is based in the centre of Liverpool.
