🥹 Tiny legs, giant trust
People often ask what the best thing about owning a jumping spider is. For me, it's those little moments when they look up at you, reach out, and choose to climb onto your hand ❤️
We forgot to share this old photo of Salem. She looks so elegant.
What was originally our most hated spider has become our most cherished 🥹 And this makes our heart so happy. She truly is a spider plushie made of velvet 🖤
(Species: Gandanemeno Echinata)
Today we said goodbye to Nemo 💔
For many people, he was "just a spider." But for us, he was so much more than that.
Nemo's journey was unlike any other. During his juvenile stages, he developed an extra leg, something we had never seen before. Then, after his final moult, he lost a functioning leg and one of his pedipalps. Despite every challenge life threw at him, Nemo carried on with the same curiosity, determination, and spirit that made him so special.
He taught us an important lesson: disability does not mean inability.
As someone who is physically disabled myself, Nemo's story resonated deeply with me. Watching him adapt, overcome obstacles, and continue living life on his own terms was both inspiring and comforting. He reminded me that our differences do not define our worth or our ability to thrive.
It's hard to put into words how much such a tiny creature could teach us, but Nemo truly changed the way we see resilience.
Thank you, little man, for everything you taught us and for allowing us to share your journey with so many people. You will always hold a special place in our hearts.
Because of this loss, we may take a couple of days away from posting while we process and grieve. It might sound silly to some, but anyone who has loved and cared for an animal, no matter how small, will understand.
Sleep well, Nemo ❤️
You were loved, and you will be missed.
The spider equivalent of "it's complicated" 🤣
We think this little jumper might be a recessive male, but they're keeping their secrets for now! Sometimes juvenile males develop their telltale features later than expected, so we're waiting until the next moult before making the final call.
Until then, this tiny mystery bean remains officially unsexed.
Have you ever had a jumper that surprised you at their next moult?
This gorgeous i6 Apalachicola has us guessing 🤔
Our hunch says recessive male, but in their next moult, we'll be more confident, so we're holding them back a little longer.
Aren't they a cutie? 🥹
POV: You're a baby jumping spider exploring a giant hooman for the very first time... 🥹
Autumn was so excited to be on her play gym that she just couldn't stop tapping her pedipalps! 🥹
Those tiny "happy taps" are actually part of how jumping spiders explore their surroundings, using sensory hairs to gather information about the world around them. And of course, no adventure is complete without a quick face wash afterwards!
Who else thinks Autumn is absolutely adorable? ❤️
You haven't seen our chonky queen Autumn in a while 👑
But isn't she gorgeous? 😍
This has to be a world record 😮
We LOVE a customer update. Thank you for these gorgeous pictures 😍

Ever seen your jumping spider slowly spinning in circles and thought “what are you DOING?” 😭
They’re actually scanning their environment using all EIGHT eyes 👀
Each pair of eyes has a different role. From detecting movement to giving them detailed vision and depth perception. So that little spin? It’s basically a full environmental check 😂
We've finally come up with a name for Willow's boyfriend 🥹
We've decided on...
...JASPER.
We hope they make some gorgeous babies in the future 😍
When the waiter says the kitchen’s closed 😭
I said “no flies left” and apparently that was the wrong answer 💀
The dramatic exit gets me every time 🤣
We really thought she was about to deliver the speech of the century... 😭
The dramatic pedipalp tapping.
The intense stare.
The build up...
...all for a tiny spider poo 💩
Another beautiful video of Ember. We miss her dearly ❤️😭
Watching a jumping spider grow old is honestly such a privilege 🥹
As they age, even simple things like climbing, gripping, and finding water can become more difficult. So small enclosure adjustments can make a huge difference to their quality of life.
A softer landing, easier access to everything they need, and extra support while they move around can help keep senior jumpers comfortable and safe 🧡
