astro notes pt.3: pluto in the houses
pluto in the first house - there is a great deal of insecurity and inadequacy in how they see themselves, so they need an insight from the outside to change their outlook. the problem is they don’t really trust others’ opinions and are really defensive about their identity so it’s hard to let in someone’s view on them. they’re the type to rebel and get very defensive instinctively against any type of “you are *insert whatever word here*” coming from people. often look really different when they’re in a different state of mind - and i’m talking “i can’t recognize you” level of different.
pluto in the second house - have a lot of impulsive tendencies which can wreck their life. the initial reaction to anything is very primal and not really based on common sense or any rational thought, they often wanna jump straight into shit wtihout considering the consequences. they often value a lot people who appear thoughtful and sentimental and capable of restraining their impulses and like…carnal desires. cuz actually they know on some level that they need to develop these qualities themselves in order for things to stop being so damn hard lol.
pluto in the third house - a healing touch. seriously, those people often have concentrated healing abilities in their hands and can excel at giving therapeutic massages or practicing reiki or anything like this. actually it’s a great placement for doctors too. they’re also incredibly explorative and have a hunch for discoveries. they have the mind of a detective. i’ve also noticed they use a lot of emojis when they chat cuz they wanna make sure the other person catches the energy behind their words and fully understands them.
pluto in the fourth house - the native felt like the home environment is out of control in some way and that people in it were driven by their whims. also maybe nurturing and care was given only when certain criteria were met and it was denied when the native hasn’t “pleased” whoever took care of them. there is a tendency to need to have the upper hand in any situation in order to feel at peace and to think and measure every side of the situation before they act that runs deep. spontaneity is really suffocated with this placement. there is an inherent ability to understand the subconscious mind of others. this may often make one quite paranoid and always scanning people for underlying motives.
pluto in the fifth house - the most self-centered people. honestly the ego can be off the charts here if left unchecked - folks with this placement really crave to be recognized as someone powerful and grand. they’re usually quite creative and in some cases may use this creativity to put the focus on their personal experiencs and to make themselves appear special and like…Chosen tm. like…think in the terms of someone who draws a lot and makes vids talking about their drawings but the more audience they gather, the more they actually start talking about themselves and what kind of iconic mind stands behind these drawings lmao. also they set really high standards on what they give in relationships but often without taking into account what the ppl they’re with actually want. then when they receive criticism on their actions or someone tells them they’re hurt by them, they react really strong and go like…”i put so much effort into satisfying your needs and you act as if i’m a bad person who would hurt you??” honey……..please. but that pattern is more common if pluto is in a water sign (scorpio/cancer). if these people learn how to stop focusing on being seen as The Best and learn to find power in their lot and how to BE good in it without constantly demanding recognition, they can really work wonders.
pluto in the sixth house - these people often feel as if others reject what they’re trying to give them and like they’re carrying around precious gifts that no one wants to receive. truth is this placement gives the native focus on how they can serve others and the focus must be redirected to how they can use those gifts to serve themselves. people with this placement run from their deep personal transformation and often try to escape into others, turning them into lil “projects” they gotta fix or heal or smth. it’s you bro! it’s yourself you should be helping rn. not them.
pluto in the seventh house - t u r b u l e n t r e l a t i o n s h i p s. people with this placement refuse to admit they need to change some aspects of themselves so in their close relationships they often project their need to change on others and push others to become more like this toxic aspect of themselves that needs to be transformed. f.e. if the native is very unaccepting of people who think differently from them and needs to change that and become more open minded, they will push their close ppl to be just as unaccepting as they are so they can run from the painful transformation. there are conflicting desires here - the pluto in 7th house person craves deep intimacy and understanding but hates the power it gives people over them and has trouble trusting anyone with it so they might have a tendency to try to get to know the other person better before they reveal anything about themselves. they wanna know your buttons before they give you power over them.
pluto in the eighth house - these people are often a subject of abuse of power or they abuse their power. or frequently both. the karmic lesson with this placement lies in understanding and reevaluating the ways in which we use power and using this knowledge to influence others. think twice as much before you do anything and ponder on the consequences. who are you serving with this act? who are you hurting for this act? and most importantly, who are you using for this act?
pluto in the ninth house - the older you get, the more you experience deep transformation of your beliefs and ideals. srsly this placement is a magnet for any sort of catharsis. pluto as an archetype is associated with deep transformation but i’ve never seen this play out as clearly as with people who have it in the 9th house. they really experience a lot of change in their lifetime, maybe cuz the 9th house shapes our core set of beliefs and therefore perception of reality and this is, in a way, the structure of our identity.
pluto in the tenth house - people with this placement grow up with a very bitter experience with authorities, be it with a parental figure or teachers or an older sibling/s. that’s why they either hate the people in power and try to bring them down and expose them for being useless or harmful, or they desperately fight for recognition and to become the person others look up to. often do both at the same time tbh. it’s the placement of the revolutionary - you need to expose the toxic patterns of social structure and abuse of power and to take down people’s false gods, then give them a new sense of responsibility when it comes to how they apply power and control. i’ve noticed people with pluto in 10th and pluto in 8th often see the other as the enemy but technically they’re the two sides of the same coin.
pluto in the eleventh house - if you got this placement you’ve probably experienced a burnout at least once in your life. that’s cuz you’re very future oriented and often forget to actually connect to your deepest desires and needs in the present. there is a tendency to not understand one’s own needs in general and to focus solely on some distant goal. these people often don’t take proper care of their bodies too.
pluto in twelfth house - that’s the kind of person who often disappears for long periods of time from their social circle…or any sort of circle. they usually have like one emotional pattern that was formed early in their childhood and they keep repeating it over and over again. they meet someone new, things are supposed to be different - and whoops! they’re not. the new person reawakens the same old pattern and even if the situation is objectively different you relive the same shit over and over again. this makes you want to withdraw and reaccess what the fuck is going on and why you are stuck in hell’s loophole. there is an incredible gift with this placement and it is to learn how to experience the oneness of everything that hides beneath the form. this will help them elevate over their own patterns and find and give freedom.
