Got the message? Australian man publicly dumps girlfriend... by leaving signs on busy road
By DAILY MAIL REPORTER UPDATED: 02:25 EST, 2 October 2009
Being dumped isn't fun at the best of times, but imagine one Australian woman's surprise when her boyfriend publicly finished with her by leaving signs on a busy road.
The woman, named Jennifer, has become the talk of New South Wales after she was dumped in what could be one of the most embarrassing public break-ups of all time.
The mystery woman's supposed lover erected five separate signs overnight on the area's busiest road.
His feelings started out as romantic, with 'Jennifer, will you marry me?'
But the proposal was quickly followed by two very different signs: 'Just kidding' and 'I'm breaking up with you'.
The final rather blunt sign simply read: 'You have six days to move out'.
Locals are divided over whether the signs are a joke or a love rat's very public humiliation of Jennifer.
Now i'm just being silly, but look at this!
This is for all the Jenna's out there who have this conversation... "Whats your name?" "Jenna" "Oh like Jenna Jameson?" "NO!"
A lot of spit swapping around here!

Jenny Kiss’d Me
Jenny Kiss’d Me
By James Henry Leigh Hunt
Jenny kiss’d me when we met,
Jumping from the chair she sat in;
Time, you thief, who love to get
Sweets into your list, put that in!
Say I’m weary, say I’m sad,
Say that health and wealth have miss’d me,
Say I’m growing old, but add,
Jenny kiss’d me.
first published in the Monthly Chronicle, November 1838
Sweet, no? Well, this is a "Layla" type story...well kinda. Inspired by Thomas Carlyle's wife, Jane Welsh, who was nicknamed Jenny.
Thomas Hunt and Hunt were friends. Welsh-Carlye kissed Hunt on his arrival at the Carlye home as she was excited to see him recover from one of his frequent illnesses.
The poem is in actuality named “Rondeau,” though it’s technically not a rondeau. He was inspired by both this event and a rondeau which Alexander Pope had written. He had liked the device and wished to write his own. Two days later one of the Hunt servants delivered a note addressed, "From Mr. Hunt to Mrs. Carlyle." It contained the poem, "Jenny Kissed Me."
Leigh Hunt was a flirtatious man, often in trouble with his wife whereas, Jane Carlyle was a standoffish, scathing, and aloof woman, not usually known to lavish affection. It is interesting to think it could have been a torrid affair, but it was most likely one in flirtation only.
In marriage to her own husband, it was said by Samuel Butler, "It was very good of God to let Carlyle and Mrs Carlyle marry one another, and so make only two people miserable and not four." The pair were famously in an unhappy union with over 9000 letters showing proof of their frequent quarrels, It is in large opinion their relationship was never consummated.
So there we have it. These lovely couplets are about a frigid wife who thaws her ice -box out over the fire and then uncharacteristically gives attentions to her husband's sickly friend, who then writes the tale of cuckold up and waves it in the man's face, and then publishes it, only for it to become his most famous work. Talk about insult to injury.
Oh and my mom studied this in high school and thought it would be awesome to name me for this very poem years later.
Groovy.
No she doesn't fucking like me anymore!
So I should visit the song I named the blog for, huh?
"Jen Doesn't Like Me Anymore" by Less Than Jake
"Jen Doesn't Like Me Anymore" originally appeared on Six Pack To Go Comp CD. The story behind Jen; "I wrote this one about a girl that liked Chris. Her wacky attributes: a father who had a photo album of picture of people in the bathroom (he'd kick in the door and take a picture while they were taking a shit or whatever),her having sex with her cousin, and eating all my Ramen and Kool-Aid. " -Vinnie Fiorello

Ok, so the girl has the genetic disposition to be a creep as she has a sex offender dad and likes to keep it deep in the family with her cousin. This is Gainesville, Fl after all. Huffington Post's Weird News has a section just for the state of Florida and the goings on there.
So she is a genetic shit show slut and a food thief. Everything a fella does not want in a groupie. Makes his feel just like his crazy old man neighbor.

Jenifa Taught Me
Originally released in 1988 as Jenifa (Taught Me) / Potholes In My Lawn and titled as "Jenifa (Taught Me)". Later in '88, it was released on This Is The Daisy Age EP.
In the following year, it finally hit De La Soul's debut album 3 Feet High and Rising, but renamed "Jenifa Taught Me (Derwin's Revenge)".
The song is about:
Jenny Teased my homeboy granny In fact she teased so many She was known as a garden tool
The full lyrics can be found here.
Oh Jenny...nevermind the boys where at the same game, you get called a ho. They woo you and use you up, smirking at your eagerness, only to come to the realization that Jenny-penny is a dime a dozen.

Before I dive into my first post, I should introduce myself and what I want to do with this blog.
My name is Jennifer, I get called many names, but Jenn and Jenna are the most frequent. Whenever someone makes a name connection, to a celebrity, a song, a character in a book or play, I often cringe, as Jennifer and the diminutives of the name, are not often shown in positive light in pop-culture. This blog is about that obsession of mine of my name.
I suppose a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet, but poor Jennifer often gets painted as a victim or a whore.
My next two postings will be on de la soul, and less than jake, as i have name dropped de la in this title and ltj in the blog title.
Hope you all will enjoy, follow and spread the word!
