I am not one of those designers who are eager to expand the role of a graphic designer. I’m a graphic designer. I know I’m good at that. [...] I’m surrounded by people who have goddamn opinions about things they don’t know anything about, and I don’t want to be one of those people.

Yup, that’s about right.

The race is on.
Related: I’d love to re-design the Iditarod site. Might make for a nice bit of practice.
Feathered raptor forearm piece by the super-skilled Mike Moses.
My good friend and I started a company. We are AjarTech, and we’re here to help good opensource projects and their contributors build buzz and turn that buzz into more work and bigger and better projects. We’re also going to run crowdfunding campaigns for our own opensource efforts, and partner with other firms to help everyone move forward. Opensource is for everyone.
I’ve been buying a lot of art lately, trying to make my apartment truly feel like my own. Peter Diamond just made a Watership Down poster, offered up by Black Dragon Press. I had to get it. Also finally scored a McBess.
John Conway paints dinosaurs unlike any you’ve ever seen.
(Also pterosaurs, which I just learned about and which are super cool.)
More photos from Monday's Full Moon Jam are filtering in-- huge thanks to the photographers who attend the Jams and share their skills with us! The shots above are by Milosh Kosanovich and by Ricardo Cervantes.
