SPIRITED AWAY 2001 | dir. Hayao Miyazaki

NIGHT AT THE MUSEUM: SECRET OF THE TOMB (2014) Dir. Shawn Levy
Life finds a way, even in the cracks of concrete.
2025 has only begun, and I'm already super focused on the snow forecast.
Before 2024 comes to a close
I found myself wondering how I should embrace the new year. My decision to be confident this year was a complete game changer in ways i never expected. And although I still get frustrated and defeated due to not meeting every goal I wanted to this year, I needed a mindset to keep me focused and hopeful. I can't lose sight of all that I did accomplish, big or small.
I know I'm not the only one who wants their books to be huge successes and beloved by everyone, but I refuse to give up on that dream. Yes, it can be stressful, especially when I'm juggling everything else, but I've worked so hard to get to this point that giving up isn't feasible. But to keep me on track even when things aren't going as planned, I decided to remind myself of this movie quote.
If you know, you know. The film is a crazy combination of hilarious and heartfelt but this quote really speaks to so many of us. To everyone who reads this, stay steadfast, positive and may 2025 be a fantastic year for you.

After busting my butt, ALL YEAR LONG
my newest book The Poet and The Magician is FINALLY here! Now available in eBook and Kindle Unlimited formats on Amazon.com.
I am very bummed that the paperback format won't be ready for Amazon or Barnes & Noble until January 2025. But things happen, and the most important thing overall is that the book is released regardless. This is my third self published book, a fantasy/young adult romance about two strangers who meet and fall in love escaping their pasts.
This is also my longest book to date, at 527 pages! This is a BEAST of a book but every detail needed to remain. My only hope and wish is that it is as loved as my other works. I truly worked so hard on The Poet and The Magician. So hard. I'm...exhausted doesn't even, can't evendescribe it.
But now, aside from social media posts, I can rest and enjoy the rest of the holiday season and 2024 overall. I always dreamed of getting to this point of writing books and I wouldn't be here without all of you.
Thank you all so much for everything! I wish you all a very Merry Christmas, Happy holidays and a Happy New Year!
Book synopsis:
Like a bird trapped within a cage, Fawn yearns for freedom. But the journey since her harrowing escape veers in a direction she could never have foreseen.
She meets an enigmatic stranger, Taikuri, whose eyes conceal secrets as deep as his charm is irresistible.
What begins as a chance encounter draws them into a world of crumbling kingdoms and breathtaking landscapes. Will their bond, both exhilarating and dangerous, lead to something more?
Fawn isn't the only one running from her past. As their relationship deepens, could their plights unite poet and magician or destroy the fragile connection they've built?
When Fawn questions the cost of such secrets, she must ask herself: is she trading one birdcage for another?
Honest Writer Thoughts
I need someone to create a successful live adaptation of one of my books so that I can be invited to and attend a red carpet event, where I can finally wear a glamorous and expensive gown.
Quick update: I had tried and failed to get invited to a red carpet film premiere. I tried for several months leading up to it. And while I was and maybe still am bummed it didn't work out, I refuse to give up. Here's hoping I achieve that goal/dream in 2025! Thank you again to everyone who liked and responded to my original post!
There is nothing more frustrating than that time period between Christmas and New Year's Eve where you don't know what day of the week it is, where you are or what you are supposed to be doing.

Me getting ready for Thanksgiving dinner:
Can you help me meet my goal?
I've been trying to get 50 reviews for my book, Aoh. I've been incredibly lucky to have so many reviews as is.
I've been fortunate to have so many who have read it, via a book purchase and through Kindle Unlimited. With that said, 50 reviews would help me and my work so much.
And not just me. I know I am not the only one trying to achieve their writing dreams nor am I the only one who has the passion and drive. But I wanted to be open and transparent.
It would mean more than anyone could ever know if Aoh can reach 50 Amazon.com reviews by the end of 2024. With those 50 reviews my book can reach more readers.
I am self published, I am doing everything on my own to get my book out there, which includes book signings, marketing, and receiving tons of rejections along the way.
Thank you so much for your help, whether you left a review, bought my book, shared it online or amongst family, etc. Aoh's story is far from over. After I publish my third unrelated book, Aoh part 2 is next with a 2025 projected release date.
If this is the first time you are hearing about my book here's the sypnosis...
Upon fleeing her homeland of Egypt after her village is attacked, Aoh finds herself living in an immaculate Babylonian palace under the care of the queen. For a young peasant girl, it’s a life of luxury beyond her imagination.
But unforeseen circumstances cause Aoh to return to Egypt, where she finds herself living in another palace disguised as a servant. She must face many dangers if she is to protect herself and the woman who holds the pharaoh’s heart.
Will Aoh survive and find love in a place where deception and loyalties rule?
