I made this on September 7th, 2018.

I was really struggling with my mental health at this time. I still am, but I have made leaps and bounds since the fall. I drew this specifically to post to instagram as a way to get back into posting. 

I never posted it. I still haven’t posted to instagram since last spring. I couldn’t find the words to put together to explain to my followers (mostly classmates and friends) that my mental health had gotten so bad that I couldn’t even draw anymore. 

I’ve come to realize that none of that matters and that I shouldn’t be making art to please other people. I should be making it to please myself. 

So here is a picture that I drew when I was depressed. And I’m posting it for me because I want to, not because I feel like I owe anyone anything.

I decided to just start posting sketches I started and never really completed. It feels kind of nice to let some things exist outside of my computer folders.
