Nice Guys Should Finish First! - Reasons to Vote for Jensen Ackles #3
Jensen has displayed his many skills on screen, we’ve all seen how good of an actor he is, but what makes Jensen my favorite is the way he is when he’s also not on screen - his professionalism behind the scenes, his willing to help the other actor, giving 110%, because he respects them, even the ones who only appear in one scene - that says a lot about the type of actor and person Jensen is.
“During rehearsals, Jensen came up to me, called me by my first name (and he didn’t have a script in his hand to refer to), and gave me some great pointers. He did the same for the other actor. After we shot the scene, on our way back to our trailers, the other actor quietly remarked to me how amazed he was that Jensen had known both our names. We talked to some crew members about it and they all went on about how down to earth, humble, and grateful Jensen was to have a series. When I told my girlfriend about it, she fell in love with him a little bit, so now a part of me hates him, too. (Kidding!)”
Then there’s his relationship with the crew, who he has embraced as his extended family. They make birthday cakes for him because he’s more than just the star of the show, he’s their friend. They even invite him home for dinner sometimes.
From all the stories we’ve heard it’s clear Jensen is not the type of actor to swan around the set believing he’s above everyone else, instead he’s just one of the guys on set - no ego, no diva tantrums - just wanting to have fun and get the job done.
In fact I believe that one of the main reasons why Jensen continues to work on Supernatural after all these years is because he loves working with the cast and crew, who he considers family. Jensen is nothing if not loyal.
