I'm not a beach guy. I'm pale-skinned, freckle-faced, forty-one, with a beer-gut and serious apprehensions about walking around with my shirt off in public. I don't fit in in this environment. Out here, I'm out of my comfort zone. So when I saw this surfer, older than me, fit, trim, long grey hair. He just seemed comfortable in his own skin. There I was feeling like an ugly Johnny Utah to this guys Bodhi, the Bodhisattva. He seemed to be finding his peace, preparing himself for the waves. I was instantly jealous of his ability to surf and I found him to be inspiring. #vanlifediaries #surfphotography #roadtrip #travel #streetphotography #surfculture #awesomepeople #travelgram #vanlife #pointbreak #California
