Art imitates life- Life imitates art.
More proof that capitalism was never "freedom" or "small government".
I Stand With Genocide
I stand with genocide... and why not?
We've been silently watching genocide after genocide,
Televised in glorious 4K High Definition while my popcorn warms,
Ready for another episode of my favorite show.
I stand with injustice, war, famine, and disease.
They keep my stock portfolio healthy.
Every corpse adds a percentage.
I stand with the evil men do.
I stand with the killing of innocents,
Shelled and buried alive beneath rubble.
I stand with the slaughter of children... Because what place does innocence have in our world?
I stand with racism
I judge by race, color, creed, caste, and sect
Anything to remind me that I am not you.
It fuels my superiority that masks the inferiority I quietly carry
And it does make for a great joke or two at parties.
I stand with hate and malice.
There is no cure for the rot in my soul.
I stand with patriotism and religion... for nothing feels more righteous than killing under flag and god.
I stand with social media.
It keeps me social... in the dark,
Alone, sleepless, anxious... but connected.
I have hundreds of online friends far more valuable than the two I ignore offline.
I stand with big pharma.
Why cure me when I can be medicated forever?
My illness gives others purpose, my pain fuels their sympathy and makes them feel better about their own lives.
I am selfless like that.
I stand with vapid, uninspired conversations.
Ignorance is bliss after all
Numbness is peace... silence is survival.
I stand with the education system
Sculpting conformity... quelling curiosity.
I've learned how to memorize answers but never to ask questions.
I was taught to pass tests but never on how to live.
And now look at me... a perfect product of conformity.
I stand with corporations
I am a beautifully conformed cog greased monthly and polished yearly.
Until I'm replaced with a newer cog... same wheel... same fate.
I stand with governments
They know what's best for me... sending me to wars so their children can inherit oil and stock options.
Why should I not perish for their legacy to be immortal?
What better purpose is there in a life lived once?
I stand with the justice system
Where the laws are written by the rich and enforced on the poor.
Where guilt and freedom are negotiable and for sale.
I stand with tradition
Because why should I ask why... it's always been done this way.
How else can I keep the memories of ancestors alive than keeping myself a dead relic.
I stand with everything that is wrong with the world
Because there is nothing right with me.

From the article:
El Salvador President Nayib Bukele told reporters during a meeting with President Donald Trump today that he would not return a man the Justice Department said it mistakenly deported to his country.
"How can I return him to the United States? Like if I smuggle him into the United States? Of course I'm not going to do it. The question is preposterous," Bukele said, sitting beside Trump in the Oval Office, when asked if he'd return Kilmar Abrego Garcia. "We're not very fond of releasing terrorists," he added."
"...Trump then turned to Bukele and said of the assembled reporters: "They'd love to have a criminal released into our country. These are sick people."
He also said he wants Bukele to take in as many criminals "as possible."
CBS report:
You want to call your House rep now and tell them Trump needs to be impeached immediately for defying a Supreme Court order (re: Kilmar Abrego Garcia), which functionally voids our constitution and means no one in America has rights anymore.
I am not exaggerating.
As of now, anybody can be disappeared, no due process, no recourse. Trump is openly disregarding a Supreme Court order and says he’ll send US citizens to El Salvador.
This is not a drill.
Call your House rep and tell them they must impeach. Tell them if they cannot bring themselves to impeach, they must resign. A more open and shut case to impeach is not possible. Trump and his administration are saying openly, in public, that anybody can be kidnapped by ICE, even in error, and disappeared permanently.
Call your senators, too, and tell them to support impeachment (it goes to them once it passes a majority House vote).
Find your representatives. Learn how to find and connect with them. Stay informed about their bills, committees, and contributions.
i want a shirt that has a QR code on it for some kind of horrible malware so that if anyone ever tries to film me in public their phone will automatically scan the code and be reduced to a functionless brick

"Today an immagration judge ruled that Mahmoud can be removed from this country."
Transcript:
"Today an immagration judge ruled that Mahmoud can be removed from this country. A decision as unjust as it is alarming. Despite the government's failure to prove that Mahmoud broke any law, the court has decided that lawful, permanent residents can have their status revoked for pro-palestine advocacy. This is a blatant violation of the first amendment and a dangerous precedent for anyone who believes in free speech and political expression."
~Sabrine Mohamed, Human Rights Attorney
"I'll remind us today that Mahmoud Khalil is not just a name on a case, he's a loving husband. A soon to be father. And now, a political prisoner in front of a kangaroo court."
~Hakm Murad, Advocate for Mahmoud Khalil
"But this decision should not pacify you. It should embolden and encourage you. Those who know Mahmoud know him for his fierce commitment to justice, and his refusal to back down from even the steepest of challenges. It is Mahmoud's fighting spirit that we must embrace in the following days."
~Sabrine Mohamed
