tfone ; sentinel primes sparkling
m/n has spent 20 cycles (years) inside walls, with drones and routines of unrelenting training. for what, no idea. has never been outside or met any bots since coming online.
just obeys orders and completes the daily tasks.
then the icon 3000 race happens, and changes everything.
watching the race is one of the few things he gets to enjoy, and becomes inspired by the 2 miner bots who nearly win.
plans an escape and ventures out into the city with no knowledge of anything really; fairly young, naive, too trusting.
wanders about, finding out what he likes, like loud music, the wall art, video games!! but slowly comes to the realisation how different his world was, and an inkling of anger rises within, swirling along with the wonder and infant hope to learn more of everything.
unbeknown to him, the story of 2 other bots unfold elsewhere. as the end concludes, he watches with rapt optics as 2 new bots destroy what once was and begins a new era, but as the false prime is torn in 2, he remembers that he, is his creator.
a brand new start for cybertron, and all alone, m/n stumbles in alleys more and more memories reveal he was supposed to be made more, into a weapon for sentinel against the quintessons, a soldier with no free will at all.
he burns with anger, to have so much taken away, a painful yearning for connection.
m/n decides to sneak into sentinels old home, hoping to find out more of who he is.
there he runs into optimus prime.
optimus sees this scared kid, and talks gently, calmly, in way m/n has never heard before. he surprises himself as suddenly clings to him, cling to this safety and comfort.
Everyone is shocked when optimus declares he'll take him in. this strange young bot who came out of no where.
Later, as ratchet tries to examine him, he doesn't make it easy, only optimus can calm him down.
there are shocking dis coverings, as they find out hes the sparkling of sentinel prime, and old scuffs and scraps reveal the kind of harsh training thats been forced on m/n, much to ratchets anger and optimus's horror.
optimus says to keep this all a secret, but rumours go around.
m/n hears it, they don't trust him, not where he came from, groomed to be a killer.
the belief that he was forged to be dangerous is too much handle, he needs someone to believe in him, that hes more than that.
m/n argues with optimus to let him find more answers about himself, and for him to prove useful. But optimus is unsure if its wise, concerned for his mental well stability; flashbacks to D-16
he tells m/n he needs time to properly process everything first, to settle into the present and focus on himself. but how can he do that if he doesn't who or what he is?
Impatient and reckless; desperate, he resolves to break into sentinels office, hack into his data base, anything to get answers.
