Alexander had signed up to get out there more, his relationship with Eric was still rocky which was his fault after all. He regretted the decision to leave with Nikki and what he did to his brother.  “Hey.” He smiled back at her the moment that he saw her. “I am one hundred percent ready and if this wine tasting doesn’t go good, I have a back up plan for us. If you are game.” 

Jessica smiled, though she was sure you couldn’t go wrong with wine. Any alcohol was A-Okay in her book, but of course... she didn’t have a problem. Or that’s what she was telling herself today. Everything was just a mess and she was a mess and it took the edge off. “Oh, yeah? What’s your back up plan?” She wondered, turning to walk with him.

Jessica wasn’t even sure why she’d gotten involved in this but she was just looking for something fun to do. If she’d wound up getting someone unattractive or a shitty “date” then she might have just bailed or ghosted, but wine tasting definitely caught her attention. Jessica loved wine, after all. “Hey.” She smiled as she opened the door to see him there and turned to grab her bag. “Ready if you are.”

He smiled and nodded, turning to grab a normal glass so that it would be more than the usual wine glass before pouring red wine into it. ‘Gotcha.’ He set the glass in front of her. 

“Ugh, perfect... thanks.” Jessica lifted the glass and had a large gulp.

Jessica kept her eyes on Tessa for a little moment, pretending they were deep in conversation until she eventually saw Steve leave the place and she relaxed. “Thank fuck.. he’s gone.”

She smiled softly. “Good choice…” she said softly. “So, what’s your reasoning? An adrenaline high? Or just broke? Is there anything else you need or would like?” She kept her expression very gentle and kind, seeming absolutely unfazed by this. 

Jessica sighed. “Look, I’m not a charity case... forget it.”
