Banned Books Week!
I put together a display for Banned Books Week, which starts today; unfortunately I was told by my administrators that I can’t do a lesson on it, because the English department is teaching a new curriculum this year and they’re worried about fidelity and a BBW lesson “distracting” from the regular unit… So this is the closest I can get. But hopefully it’ll at least inspire some discussion.
Very cool
this is great because i try and do most of these things at one time and i end up angry so i think i will be doing this. also this design is very calm.
Lunchtime Portraits: The Passing Parade
Between 1977 and 1980, the photographer Charles H. Traub held two jobs that left him smack in the middle of the midday urban bustle. As the chairman of the photography department at Columbia College, he’d take his Rolleiflex SL66 camera out onto Chicago’s Loop and take pictures of strangers; later, as the director of the Light Gallery, in New York City, he did the same around Fifth Avenue and Fifty-Seventh Street, “the center of the world.”

Apologies to anyone suffering from clown-fear.
Just remember; they’re more afraid of themselves than you are of them.
