29 Weeks! And he is officially named...
So, it has been about two months since I last posted an update. Sorry about that! I guess I've just been enjoying this time and not thinking about the updates so much. But, here I am in the third trimester! Its crazy to think that in eleven weeks our little boy will be here. We have finally settled on a name for our precious one: Elijah Timothy Rodriguez. We are so excited to finally meet him. I have been so fortunate to have had an amazing pregnancy so far. I never threw up or had any major issues and have felt pretty darn good this whole time. It turns out I am slightly glucose intolerant, however, so I need to monitor my sugar and carb intake. Perfect timing with Christmas right around the corner, right?! Psh. I know I will live without treats and I'm sure Elijah is appreciating me keeping my blood sugar nice and smooth and level for him. We are still walking for about thirty minutes every morning and I do other bits of exercise here and there as well. One of my favorite points in the week is my Monday evening prenatal yoga class. It has been such an amazing addition to my pregnancy and just feels incredible. The instructor is 68 1/2 and she is truly inspiring. So few people come that one evening it was just me and her for the full hour and a half. My first private yoga lesson ;)
We are also starting to make progress on Operation: Baby's Room. Tim is prepping the crib for painting and we are slowly but surely chipping away at our junk that is living in Elijah's future room. I'll be sure to post pictures as things get more picture worthy.
In all, I feel wonderful and peaceful and happy. I'm so anxious for Elijah's arrival! We are starting to think about putting our birth plan in to writing as well. I'm getting plenty of inspiration from a blog I follow, Birth Without Fear. Makes me feel like a powerful, natural birth momma just reading it :)
