D-16 walked through the barracks, towards Shadowwing’s recharge pod. Avoiding Darkwing’s looming figure as he kept up the pace, he snuck up on the young femme he’d come to call conjux.
”Hey Shadow- you awake?” He smiled and he peeked around the corner. It was late by all means, but he didn’t want to miss out on spending the evening with her.
Drift took Cinder’s servo letting her walk beside him and Ratchet as they headed out.
Iacon looked different since the attack it was still recovering but at least bots were trying to still go on as normal.
Ratchet smiled as he held Snowblast close, heading down towards the energon rivers with them. He stopped nearby and looked over the energon flowing from the well and out over Iacon.
Snowblast smiled a little as she looked over the river. She held onto Ratchet as she looked out. She remembered when her sire and carrier used to bring her and Cinder here a long time ago.
Cinder let Drift pick her up so she could have a better view as she looked out at the river. “It’s so pretty…” she spoke up.
“It is, isn’t it?” Drift nodded a little bit as he stared out as the sight before them.
Ratchet smiled when he saw brighten up a bit. “Look at that smile.” He chuckled and held her close. “We love seeing you happy.” He assured her. “Are you ready to come back home today?” Ratchet asked.
She looked over to Ratchet and smiled a little more. “I can come home?” She felt her tiny wings twitch a bit with excitement.
“If you feel up for it.” Ratchet smiled, chuckling as he watched her wings twitch. “We’ll get you a walker to bring home so you can keep getting better at home.” He promised.
Snowblast nodded, though she hated the thought of having to use aids to walk on her own. “Okay…I miss home.” She murmured softly.
“I know you do Sweetspark, we’ll head back home.” He promised, rubbing her back. “We’ll help you get better at home.”
Snowblast nodded, laying her helm on Ratchet’s shoulder plating. “Will I ever get better?” Her voice quiet as she shifted in his arms.
Ratchet frowned, looking worried. “We’ll do our best to make sure you get better.” He promised her, kissing her helm and looked to Drift with worry in his optics. “Maybe we should just grab some fuel and head back home?”
Drift offered him a soft smile. “That sounds like a good idea.” He shifted Cinder in his arms.
Snowblast nodded a little, though her optics seemed sadder. Though she was small, she had a feeling she may not get better just by the way everybot seemed to awkwardly answer her.
Ratchet held Snowblast close as they headed back home for their apartment. Once home he settled Snowblast on the couch and turned on the holo screen for them while he went into the kitchen to get some dinner started.
Drift set Cinder down to watch the holoscreen with her sister. He walked into the kitchen to give Ratchet a hand. “It’s nice to have her home.” He said softly.
“It is.” He smiled. “Pharma will swing by with the walker later.” Ratchet said and grabbed a few cubes.
Ratchet paused mid-motion, clearing his voicebox.
Drift looked at him. “You alright?” He knew Pharmacist coming over would go one of two ways, bad or really bad.
“I’m fine.” Ratchet smiled, kissing his cheek as he got the twins’ energon warmed up. “Just want the twins to be busy when Pharma arrives, in case he’s being an aft.”
“I’ll take them to their room when he stops by. No need for them to be in any extra conflict.” He patted his shoulder plate.
“Hopefully he behaves himself enough while doing his job and dropping off medical equipment.” He smiled, squeezing his servo. “Deep vents.” Ratchet teased and went into the kitchen to get the twins their energon.
“He better, poor femmes have been through enough. They don’t need his petty petulant aft starting with them.” He said calmly with a deep vent. “I’m sure he will be fine…he knows better than to start in front of you.”
"Don't worry, oath or not I'll be the first to put his head through a wall." Ratchet smiled, kissing him before bringing the cubes to the twins. "Found anything to watch?" He smiled and sat on the couch with them.
Cinder looked up at Ratchet and shook her helm as most of the broadcasts were of the latest updates from the attack that had injured Snowblast. “They keep talking about the bad bots.”
Snowblast stared quietly, her little frame shaking a little as she stared at the glimpses from the attack. “Why do they wear Megatronus’ symbol? He wasn’t a mean bot.” She asked quietly. “He was nice…and Solus was too.”
Ratchet frowned as he looked at the screen, not wanting to scare the twins. “Don’t worry about that, let’s watch something else.” He smiled and turned on a cartoon for them to watch instead. “Finish your energon, Pharma will come by soon with some stuff for Snow.” He murmured.
Snowblast nodded as she sipped her energon, looking at the holoscreen.
Drift stood leaning on the wall watching them with a worried look. He hated to see then upset, especially after all they went through.
A buzz rang through the apartment as Ratchet got up to the front door. “It’s Pharma.” He said and opened the door to let him in.
“You really had me dragging this thing all the way here? Couldn’t you just have picked it up yourself?” He muttered and put the box with a walker and a few canes down.
“No. I’m on parental leave to keep Snow’s improving on the right track.” Ratchet responded. “You know if I set foot in the hospital it could be hours before I leave.”
“Yeah, who knew you’d want to spend time with a sparkling.” Pharma scoffed.
Drift stood behind Ratchet, giving Pharma an unimpressed look from his commentary. He knew better than to start the fights with him.
Cinder has curiously slid off the couch to see this visitor. She peaked her helm out from around the corner looking at Pharma.
“Calm down or leave, it doesn’t have to be harder than that.”
“Okay you just have to stop bringing home strays, it never ends well.” Pharma said.
“The twins are not strays, thank you for bringing Snowblast her crutches but you need to leave.” Ratchet frowned.
“I wasn’t talking about the beasts.” Pharma said, staring at him and Drift.
“I’m not a beast!” Cinder snapped angrily, her little wings unfurling.
Drift glared at Pharma, turning to Cinder. “Ignore him, go play with your sister.” He said quietly, ushering her away. “Preferably before somebot gets hurt for running his mouth.” He said as he gave Pharma a dangerous look.
“Whatever.” Pharma shrugged. “Just keep those mutts a-“ he was cut off as Ratchet slammed his fist into his jaw, sending him tumbling out the front door.
“Keep your opinions to yourself, it’s not welcome here.” He said calmly before closing the front door and brought the box inside. “Cinder, I’m sorry, Pharma’s an idiot sometimes.” He apologized.
“I’m not a beast…” she said quietly, her lip quivered a little.
Drift knelt down slowly. “No, you’re not…you’re a beautiful little femme.” He said gently pulling her into a hug. “Don’t ever let anybot tell you different.” He murmured against her audios.
Snowblast looked up from the couch, not exactly knowing what happened but she couldn’t exactly move to see what had happened.
“Drift’s right, you’re a sweet and beautiful femme, just like your sister. You’re perfect, both of you.” Ratchet smiled softly, wiping her tears.
Cinder looked up at him sniffling a little before she reached up for Ratchet.
Drift’s optics softened as he admired the connection the twins had with his mate already. “No more tears little one…you too are much too precious to cry.” He murmured rubbing her back.
Ratchet smiled and picked her up, hugging her close. “If anybot ever calls you that again, you make a fist and aim for their throat, okay?” He smiled, kissing her forehelm. “How about we get you two some ice cream and a bath?”
Cinder smiled a little and nodded as she perked up a little. “I like icecream.” She said softly, wiping her little face.
“I figured.” He smiled and helped her wipe her face. “Wanna help get Snow a bowl as well?” He asked and walked into the kitchen with her.
Cinder nodded a little as she glanced back at her twin. She felt sad for her that she couldn’t move around much on her own. “When is Snowy gonna be better? I miss playing with her.” She said quietly.
“I know you do sweetie, but it’s gonna be a while until Snowy can play like you used to.” Ratchet frowned a bit, handing her a bowl. “We need to be there for her and support her until then.” He smiled, pausing momentarily in the kitchen to rub his chest and taking a deep vent.
“Are you okay?” She asked, noticing him pause.
Drift was still in the living room but he sensed something over his bond. He got up to check to see if everything was alright.

The Scrapyard was too quiet.... even for Charcoal. The femme paced back and forth, she had been left alone with Sideswipe for training while Bumblebee, Grimlock and Strongarm went to face off a Decepticon - the only problem was that Sideswipe was late for the lesson and was testing Charcoal's patience.
Sideswipe has been relaxing, watching some of the programs that Russell called ‘cartoons.’ He glanced at his internal clock when he realized that he should start training.
He stretched and casually walked to the main area for training, his servos behind his helm with his signature smile on his face. “Well, I was gonna say warm up but looks like you’re wearing your pedes into the ground.” He teased slightly with a small smirk.
"Don't tease me, spiky." Charcoal frowned. "You're three hours late." She was not happy. "If you're going to waste my time then I ought to fly my ship home."
“Alright, alright I’m sorry I’m late.” He said with a small smile. “Don’t get youd wings in a twist, we can train.” He said as he chose his spot to be his standing point to spar.
