“the duo stuff was definitely fun, but i think we need to put it on hold for a bit,” jewoo said seriously. “the full group has been neglected. and i don’t want to leave phantom-- i can’t speak for you on that one, i guess, but if you don’t either, the group needs our attention.” @rvtaegun
“are you sure you want me?” jewoo asked sheepishly. “i’m not nearly the choreography innovator everyone decided that i was in like...2015. you could probably find a much more talented and innovative choreographer to work with...”
“the stylists want to dye my hair, but i’m so scared. i don’t think i want them to…” ripley admitted, eyes wide with panic. “i feel like orange has become my signature; i like how i look with it! and remember that stupid bowl cut they gave me? no matter how long passes, i still am traumatized by that…”
“you don’t want to get stuck in just one image though, do you?” jewoo pointed out, trying to be encouraging. “you might find something you really like too, hmm? and you can always go back to ginger some other day too.”
“it’s not like… an official reunion thing. don’t ruin it,” jisung insisted, rolling his eyes. “it’s just going to be a big concert for me and i want you to appear. that’s it. don’t make it bigger than it is, okay?” @jewoorv @rvtaegun
“it’s technically a reunion, jisung,” jewoo insisted. “are we going to sing sentimental? because then it’s definitely a reunion.”
“you know, terra is so weird. i don’t understand it half the time,” yujeong said. “they assign us colours or whatever, but then barely do anything with it? i guess maybe that’s a good thing, but i would have thought they’d dye my hair purple by this point…. i kind of want to see dajeong with yellow hair… that’d be kind of funny…”
“i don’t think i’ve ever seen yellow hair that was well executed-- how could you wish something like that on your own sister?” jewoo said with a little chuckle
“you know, it’s nice being not-famous here yet,” zak admitted. “i know that’s gonna change when my group debuts, but i couldn’t walk anywhere in LA without getting someone pointing at me. it’s cool to be normal for a few months.”
“i have a hard time believing that people consider you normal,” jewoo pointed out with a little laugh. “you’re tall, have idol visuals, and dress in expensive clothing. they’re probably just staring at you from far away instead of approaching you like you’re used to.”

“and who’s to blame for that?” she asked, holding onto him and ducking her head lower. “you did not, jewoo– it’s a debut, not new year’s eve! you shouldn’t have…. i love you….” she missed him. as if he hadn’t choreographed their debut and run practice with them for hours beforehand, but she still missed him. “oh, baby, i’m to tired to come up with a clever retort….”
“a debut you’ve been working very hard for for the better part of a decade, and absolutely a reason to celebrate. i love you too,” he retorted, kissing her forehead and putting her down so they could go to the sitting area and he could get her a glass. “we’ll keep the playful banter for after you’re done promotions, then. tonight just come spend time with me and celebrate.”

“okay, but im filming for only thirty seconds once an hour so…..it’ll take a while. gotta make sure its quality.”
“that’s just a healthier mindset, if you ask me. you’re definitely not overworking yourself if you do that.”

“technically, i got kicked out after you did,” taegun answered with a laugh– mostly because jewoo, at the time, had gotten the email for the meeting that meant the death of eclipse first. “good for you for getting back on your feet though, little buddy. proud of you.”
“well, i am one of the most critically acclaimed soloists in the industry now, so i guess i’m not doing too bad for myself. what have you been up to again, pal?” jewoo shot back sarcastically

every time he kissed her, it felt like electricity. the way that, after all these years, they were together. they were peers… it was hard for her to wrap her head around. but she was happier than she’d been in a long time. “i look forward to it… the help, and…yeah,” she trailed off, blushing. lord only knew what he meant by celebrate.
he burst out laughing, tucking her hair behind her ear. “about rap, chaeneul. come on. get your head out the gutter-- you’re bright red,” he teased. “come on-- i bought champagne.” he paused, smiling at her. “although, i can teach you everything i know there too, if you really want.”

“honestly, i should rap on the track and do the jacket photos, and then hire a body double for the stages. what’sit matter anyway?”
“maybe film at least one stage. you know, so fans can get their special fancam content. beyond that, a flawless plan.”
rvtaegun:
“i guess i just have to carry the team. it’ll be easy– i’m very talented you know.”
“oh, are you?” jewoo asked, feigning surprise. “considering you got kicked out of your first group, i would have never guessed.”
rvchase:
she melted under his gaze, smiling and tightening her arms around his shoulders. “you think so? we worked so hard– i think it’s being received pretty well…” she murmured, forehead resting against his. she’d been so anxious about whether or not the debut would go well. she loved woori, but it was no secret that woori had a bad reputation. chae had been concerned, but it seemed as though that was in vain. “i think i need you to give me some tips on rapping, though. i don’t think i’m doing nearly as well as i’d like during the live stages….”
“it is,” he assured her, ducking a bit so he could kiss her, looking into her eyes. he knew how she was-- even now that she’d debuted, she’d be thinking about performance. it was just who chae was. “i’ll teach you everything i know. tomorrow. tonight we celebrate.”
rvtaegun:
“really? that’s funny, cuz me and the others were talking, and we decided that we all hate you,” tae retorted with a sly grin. “yeah, you’re getting too cocky, and you get all the solo attention, so we think it’s time that you go solo for good. phantom’s a trio.”
“yeah, good luck with that. that trio’s really gonna go far with half of y’all enlisted,” he laughed

“that sounds incredible– i’d love being a glorified groupie,” he laughed
“right? and the vocal track is the important part anyway, so like, who cares?”

“i didn’t say it was easy– i said it was way easier. and if they and their companies are smart, they’re set for life. they get tons of things us normal trainees will never get in a billion years.”
“if companies are smart in general, groups are set. terra came out of nothing, but because of your ceo’s creativity and the marketing, they made a name for not only themselves, but your whole company.”
“have you heard? i’ve been named the best and only member of phantom,” jewoo said seriously. “i know you think you’re also a member, but it’s just me. one of these days you should thank me for singlehandedly carrying you.” @yrvji
