Sounds like something really bad happened between you two and I’m sorry to hear that. I bet he shed a lot of tears over you too, and it’s hard to get over people. Hell, I cheated on my girlfriend because I’m a fucking idiot and I still cried when we broke up. It’s hard to get over someone who meant something to you for a while. Maybe they just found random people and then started to look for our exes by asking people we know or shit maybe they just used the internet like people who document their whole relationship on Facebook or something. We don’t expect them to come to our country and learn our language so we shouldn’t go to theirs and expect them to know English as well.

I guess not. Speak for yourself. Someone speaking French where I’m from isn’t really weird since it’s one of our official languages so it’s actually just pretty normal for us to have someone speak to us in French. I’m actually pretty sure that people do that. If I had a dollar for every time I heard a white man bitching about someone not knowing how to speak fluent English I would have enough money to buy myself a private island and escape them forever.

The rest of them I know or, well, I just guessed présence means presence since it sounds similar in English.” growing up in Canada, Alessandra had taken basic French for long enough to get some of what he was saying, although the words she mentioned had gone over her head and so she didn’t really get the compliment. “Would you say a bad word about me if I could kind of understand it? My knowledge of French is very very basic.”

I took French in school as a requirement but I’m still no where near good enough to avoid getting those looks. You think that they would be more used to encountering English speakers considering this is such a popular tourist destination.

Neither would I. Yeah, I don’t know what I’ll do if my ex shows up. Maybe I’ll slap him. Who knows, I guess we’ll see. Oh yeah, did some people get one bed? That would be horrible. I have two in my room right now. I ended up testing out both beds and picking the good one. I left the crappy one for him. I can’t even say his name, that’s so sad. I swear, every ex-couple here ended things badly. 21 hours of my time on a plane wasted just so I could come here and have to eventually spend time with the guy I hate. I half expected to get slapped if we ever saw one another again but I guess it’s lucky for me that she isn’t the violence type. I was passing the other rooms earlier and there was only one bed in some of them so I guess they did only get one bed and that must be pretty hellish. I just dropped my stuff on a random bed and then left again because I didn’t really want to stick around and unpack or anything. Guess your ex was the bad guy in the relationship? I was the bad guy in mine. I mean, not for the whole thing but definitely for the end. It would have been nice to have exes here that are just like ‘yeah we just grew a part’ or ‘we decided we were better as friends’ but I guess that’s not enough drama for tv. I think you deserve to complain. I have a lot of shit to talk about the producers of this show now that I know they had ulterior motives to this trip.
