“I’ll climb through your window. She won’t even know I’m there.”
@coriwth
lenxpearson:
“That’s exactly what I’m saying. That’s like me buying you coffee. It doesn’t cost that much, and I doubt there’s anything that illegal you can do to get yourself charged for life.”
“Do you also laugh at homeless people two to three times a week?” He asked with a dumbfounded chuckle. “Alright, you’ve convinced me. If you wanna do something fun, I’m in.”
tcrii:
“It probably was, and now I know what I will be watching next sunday night, feel free to join me for pizza and movie night.” she said reaching out to grab her pompom. “I’m really sorry, I swear I didn’t mean it.”
“If you wanted me to join you for pizza and a movie night you’d have to pick a good scary movie. Like Sinister. Or the Saw movies, which are good and I don’t care what anyone says,” Max insisted, waving off the girl’s apology. “Yeah, I know you didn’t mean to, I just like jerking your chain. Next person might not be as forgiving, though.”
aylaxc:
Smiling when he finally agreed, she took his hands, giving them a squeeze and just began to move to the music. She wasn’t doing anything crazy, in fact, you probably couldn’t even call it dancing, she went from jumping, to swaying her hips and just going in every direction. “Just let loose and do whatever! It doesn’t matter, make it seem like you’re at a rock concert instead of the whole mosh pit thing.”
The other girl had a way of making Max feel like maybe he wouldn’t look like a complete idiot when he started to follow her actions, jumping around with her and even letting out a loud laugh. “I dunno, mosh pits are kinda my thing. Take away the danger factor, they’re pretty fun.” He had, in fact, had never been in a mosh pit in his entire life, but he almost felt like they were in one right now.
plutopls:
“I know, I feel like a midget next to you. I’m 5'4. Shrink some.”
“No way, I’m above the average height for men in America, it’s my biggest accomplishment.”
coriwth:
“No.” Cori quickly responded to him. When getting away, with going to New York, she was planning on just starting her life with Max. She didn’t have to worry about her parents. Hell, her grandparents were paying for her tuition because her parents didn’t agree on the major she decided on and refused to pay, so she wasn’t even focusing on them. She knew she just wanted to start new with Max and put them in the past. “I wouldn’t have decided on eloping. I didn’t even plan on having a relationship with my parents after that. I barely have one with them now. Since I came here, it’s been a rare phone call here or there and that phone call just ends up with them telling me how much of a disappointment I am to them. It wouldn’t be something I would hide from them. Yes, I did it when we were in high school because they still had control over my life and they could have figured a way to get me away from you anyway, even if they sent me somewhere to finish high school, in another state or in a boarding school. Who the hell knows. It wouldn’t have stayed that way with us being here, but you didn’t want to think about that, you were just thinking about what was happening then.”
Max listened to Cori as she gave him her quick explanation, updating him on her parents close to no involvement in her life. Nodding slowly, he felt for the first time incredibly stupid and rash since coming to terms with the fact that maybe breaking up would be the best thing for them. He should’ve talked with her first. But he was never good at that, to begin with. “Then... I’m sorry.” He whispered, rubbing at his eye with the meat of his palm, attempting to keep himself from getting worked up because of the situation. “You know me. Always makin’ stupid fuckin’ decisions without thinking things through first. And without even considering my future. I dunno.” Shrugging, Max stared at his feet, wishing he could turn back time to before this conversation ever happened. He wish he’d never known any of this. “I’m sorry. You deserve better anyway, you deserved to start over.”
tcrii:
“That I can’t promise,” she said with a chuckle, single pompom in hand. “A college massacre single handed by a cheerleader? That sounds like the horror movie I would watch.”
“That sounds like a movie that’s already been made that got 13% on rotten tomatoes.” Max mumbled, walking over and holding out the pompom towards her. “Those things fuckin’ hurt, more than you’d think.”
