History of "Revovler" Samuel Colt.
Samuel Colt made the decision to raise funds for a machine that would produce all of the gun's interchangeable parts after the publication of "Colt Paterson." He hit the road and began advertising his gun all over America. He immediately traveled to Washington, D.C., where he submitted his idea to American President Andrew Jackson after seeing that this strategy was ineffective. With his assistance, he was able to start directly pitching his gun to the military and senators, but regrettably with little success. A lucrative order of 75 guns for the state of South Carolina was canceled after he discovered that the "Militia Act of 1808" forbade him from selling his revolvers to the local militias directly.
