I want to make a sincere apology for telling SuperBat shippers to take their lives.

What I said was cruel, harmful, and completely unacceptable. No matter how strongly I disagreed with people in a fandom, there was no justification for saying something like that. I take full responsibility for my words and the impact they may have had on others.

I also want to provide some context, not to excuse my behavior, but to explain where I was emotionally at the time. I have been carrying a lot of trauma from losing my parents and having my life completely change afterward. Following their deaths, I had to immigrate to the United States and move in with my grandparents. The grief, instability, and emotional pain from those experiences affected me deeply.

During that period, I was also influenced and manipulated by people who encouraged unhealthy and hostile behavior online. Looking back, I recognize that I was groomed into adopting attitudes and actions that were harmful to both myself and others. While that influence affected me, I still take responsibility for the things I chose to say.

I was also struggling with a serious eating disorder and other mental health challenges that I was not properly addressing. Those struggles affected my judgment, my behavior, and the way I interacted with people. Again, this is not an excuse for what I said. It is simply part of the reality of what I was dealing with at the time.

I recognize that my comments hurt real people. Fandom disagreements should never become personal attacks, and they should never include telling someone to harm themselves.

I am committed to doing better. Part of that commitment is getting help for my eating disorder and working on my mental health so I can handle my emotions and disagreements in healthier ways. I want to learn from my mistakes and become a more respectful and compassionate person.

I do not expect immediate forgiveness, but I felt it was important to acknowledge my actions, take responsibility for them, and apologize to the people I hurt.

I am truly sorry.

this is gonna make some ppl mad but like a smoove 70% of the characterizations of harry potter characters and the underlying rhetoric surrounding character action and internalization are shit ppl in the fandom made up. this isn't necessarily a bad thing, but if you go back and actually read the dogshit ass source material and then look at any fanwork of quality from the last decade, the characters are nearly unrecognizable from their original forms because genuinely they have to be. in order for harry potter to be good and modernly legible and bearable you have to ignore the vast majority of the source material outside of its most basic worldbuilding because in its original form, it becomes morally, politically, and rhetorically unbearable.
