A few months ago I reblogged a post sharing Jazzy’s gofundme, a girl who was poisoned by her roommate, noting that she only had about half her goal despite the fund being up for several years. I saw a lot of people reblog that version; Just a month or so later when I checked her fund again it had been reached!! And tons of people still reblog it.

I think when people are just scrolling and they come across these posts they don’t check immediately and forget about it, seeing all the notes and assuming the fund is doing well- I think more people need this visualized to realize this person REALLY needs help.

We can’t let Lakeith continue to be punished in this repulsive system. Please make sure him and his fund get the attention Jazzy does and let’s do everything we can to get him to the goal!! We have to reunite him with his family by any means possible.

As of today ( Saturday, August 8th, 2020 ) Lakeith is $12,061 from his goal!!

Quawan Charles was only 15 when we he was taken from his home on Oct. 30, 2020. He was last seen with a “friend” and the friend’s mom. His parents reported it to the police and were told that he was probably at a football game.

He was found on Nov. 2nd with wounds so horrific they’re being compared to Emmit Till’s. The family is not being provided with the official autopsy results, so they have to raise their own money to get a second autopsy before his funeral because of the chances of a cover up.

To folks arguing in notes whether this trend is “intentional” programming……. It literally doesn’t matter. It is a media trope for bad reasons and encourages a bad outlook in which a wildly dangerous and morally corropt character is sympathized with, which, in turn, results in people maybe more forgiving of matching behavior in real life. While you argue over whether it’s “really propaganda” it is objectively having the effect of propaganda… And it isn’t really far fetched anyway. The government has had movies greenlit many times that they hoped would affect their public image in a desirable way.

‘He was my everything’: Boy who drowned in Brookings pond remembered for smile, generosity

The body of Molu Zarpeleh, 10, who was reported missing last Thursday night, was recovered from a privately-owned retention pond along 12th Street South around 8:40 a.m. Friday after authorities searched the pond, according to a new release from the City of Brookings.

A tip that Zarpeleh had been pushed into the pond that circulated on social media has been redacted by the tipster, said Chelsea Bakken, public information officer for the City of Brookings. Investigators also reported that tips they received Friday related to circumstances surrounding the incident were not true but won’t state why. Police are ignoring it and ruling it an “accidental drowning but his mother says differently. 

“A 10-year-old boy would not just take his sandals off and walk into the water,” she said. “He didn’t know how to swim.”

Brookings police and the Brookings Fire Department searched for Zarpeleh until about 2:30 a.m. Friday before the search was stopped due to safety concerns, poor lighting and murky water, the release states. Searchers used pumps from Brookings Municipal Utilities and Brookings County to remove about 300,000 gallons of water from the pond during the resumed search Friday morning

“Molu died, but I can’t say ‘was’ yet,” Mole said. “He’s my first child. He’s my only son. I don’t want to use the word ‘was.’ I can’t imagine him not living.”
