What you do today is important, because you are exchanging a day of your life for it.

Carrot sticks can make you as happy as donuts in 45 days Loretta Graziano
If you have a bad habit, it’s because your brain thinks it’s good for survival. If you eat a donut when you’re annoyed, for example, it’s because your brain has experienced the donut’s ability to transform a bad feeling...
Job interview this afternoon! Fuck yeah!!
So stressed. And angry and frustrated and tired. Fuck. I hate everything. Things aren't going well with my attempt at cutting down on sugar. And the boyfriend and I are trying to sell our house and we're trying to negotiate with this total asshole! I want to tell him to fuck off sooo badly! The only reason the boyfriend and I are trying to make a deal with him is because we have to sell our house before we can buy another house. We've found a house we love, but someone else will buy if we don't hurry up and sell. Anyone else having a shitty time lately?
Love this!
SUN! Fuck yeah! It's been raining and overcast for over a week and it was getting pretty damn depressing. Today the sun is shining and the sky is blue! I woke up and I was all like 'Yay! I should go for a walk. Oh, but I have too much shit to do today...'. Well fuck that. I checked my email and then my tumblr and I have found the motivation to take my lazy ass outside. Fuck all the stuff that needs to get done. It'll still be here in a half hour. I'm going to go outside and go for a walk and take care of me first thing this morning!
If you read this, you MUST do something for you and only you today! I insist! Pass the self care on! Who's with me? :)
Breaking the sugar addiction isn't going so well. The boyfriend is a terrible influence. I started my mission to cut down on sugar on Tuesday and the boyfriend brings home donuts. Arg.
And I love love love going for walks, but he doesn't.
Well fine then. I'll go by myself.
But nooo! Boyfriend doesn't want me to go alone.
Well come with me then.
*grumble*grumble*grumble*
So he finally agrees to come with me and takes all the fun out of it by complaining and pouting.
So there's my little rant. Good night to you all.
Breaking the Habit
So today I start a mission. I need to break my insane sugar addiction. I absolutely love sugar, but it's killing me and ruining my body. I'm on the fast track to diabetes if I don't smarten up. I love anything sweet and it's my love for sweets that's making me hate myself. It doesn't matter how many crunches or planks I do, I'm not going to get rid of my belly fat unless I change my diet too.
Now, I'm not looking to do the 100% sugar free thing. What I am looking to do is make a gradual change to the point where the only sugar that I do get every day is natural and not refined. I'm a big believer of the lifestyle that allows you to eat what you love, as long as it's in moderation, instead of cutting it out completely. That said, I also believe that there are some things that we should never ever put in our bodies. Things like energy drinks, or meat by product for example.
I know that this is going to be extremely hard. I've come up with a list of motivations to help with the temptation:
1. Summer.
-I'm tired of my excess fat being an insulator that makes summer heat intolerable. I disgust myself when I have to adjust my jeans on my sweaty, fleshy hips. I'm young and I should be enjoying my body and enjoying the summer instead of hiding and hating myself.
2. Clothes.
-There are so many clothes that I want to fit into again. When I was a normal, healthy weight I loved going shopping. It was so easy to find clothes that I felt great in. I have so many clothes in my closet that I'd love to wear again, but can't fit anymore. Pants that I can't get past my fatty thunder thighs, sleeves that squeeze my arm fat, tops that show my pudgy belly and hips.
3. Me.
-What better motivator is there? I want to feel confident, be myself, and not worry about my shirt hiking up and exposing rolls.
I've already started on my journey to loving my body by light cardio and regular strength training. I love the ache my muscles get the day after I've lifted weights. I love having a shower after sweating through cardio.
I don't hate me, I hate my obsession with food. With a shit load of hard work, I can change and it will be so worth it!
Any advice from readers? How did you break a food addiction? How did you finally stick to it? Anyone out there wanna do this together? We can message each other with our progress, with our temptations and struggles, with our motivations. Any takers? :)
Awww!
Don’t let the kitchen ruin what you really want.
Been depressed lately. Stressed to the max and too much/not enough shit to do (if ya know what I mean).
On the up side, looking forward to spending lazy at home time with the boyfriend tonight. What with all this crazy house shit goin' on, we're looking forward to just chilling. Also a little strapped for cash. So our plans tonight are to drink whatever random booze we have, eat something we enjoy, and watch the super cheesy Brady Bunch movie on tv. Gonna be a blast! Don't cha just wish you were here? ;)
Made me smile. Hope you do too. :)
Hear hear!
I just wanted to make this to show people that what they may think is effective for weight loss actually isn’t. The first picture was taken after a week or so of heavy restricting and binging. The second picture was taken after a week of healthy eating & exercise.
You know what else? You shouldn’t let the scale define your progress. I am the exact same weight in both pictures but yet I look different.
Start treating your body with love. Nourish yourself and you’ll see results. I promise.
Please listen to this message. Please eat today.
Everyone who has ever contemplated losing weight through unhealthy methods needs to see this.
So I’m scrolling through my dashboard while eating Chobani and then I read the notes and all the contents in my mouth literally landed on the computer screen & I’ve spend the past 2 minutes cleaning it. Wow, thank you all so much for spreading this message.
