TIL that the reason lead levels in children’s blood have dropped 85% in the past thirty years is because of an unknown scientist who fought car companies to end leaded gasoline. He also removed it from paint, suggested its removal from pipes, and campaigned for the removal of lead solder from cans.

I’ve got wood Ford Country Squire Camper Concept, 1959. A one-off prototype showcasing automated "push-button" car camping with a motorised roof-mounted rowboat that swung out to reveal a pop-up double bed tent, plus a slide-out kitchen with a fridge, stove, sink, and even a shower head. Based on the fourth generation Country Squire it was designed as a “push-button Dream Camper" and aimed to gauge interest in integrated camping features but never went into mass production. The Country Squire used woodgrain panelling from the first generation in 1950 through to the end of production in 1991.
45 years ago, the future looked like this: Ford Granada Altair Concept, 1980, by Ghia. A wedge-shaped proposal for the third generation of Ford’s European Granada. The car’s sharp front end and smooth lines aided the low drag coefficient of 0.35. The bronze-tinted plexiglass line running the length of the car provided increased visibility and was used to recessed the door handles and air extraction vents for air conditioning.
