"Is macready or childs The Thing at the end?" theorists are idiots. The answer is John Carpenter. It's in the poster. John Carpenter's The Thing. Dumbass
It is wild talking to people online where you'll be like "Hey, you're kind of being an ass," and they'll rant about how as a member of a marginalized community... oppression and violence... societal forces... lack of opportunity... and it's like "Ok, people who share some demographic with you are pushed into homelessness and sex work but they are not being assholes online. You are a grad student at Reed who works part-time as a paralegal and you are a real dick."
Do you want to deal with customers all day or do you want to dive deep into the ocean and perform dangerous repairs. Do you want to deal with school administrators and too many students or do you want to shake hands with the worst men youve ever met and be complicit in the destruction of the environment. Do you want to get naked in front of the internet for anyone to see or do you travel with an airline and be unable to settle down. And most importantly Do you wanna party
“we must make sure you do not appear here again. bailiff, whack his peepee.”

In the original SNES version of Super Mario RPG, the blue Toad in the Mushroom Kingdom who has lost his wallet can be made to walk up the stairs next to him and then walk in mid-air simply by Mario blocking his path strategically.
Every NPC in the game has an array of bits deciding various properties in a binary (on or off) manner. One bit is the "can this NPC use stairs?" bit, while another is "can this NPC walk in mid-air?" bit (used for flying NPCs and comedic scenes of them walking in mid-air).
For an unknown reason, this specific Toad uniquely has both of these bits set to "on", resulting in this behavior.

I usually hate when my phone auto-capitalizes things like god -> God or google -> Google etc etc but the only one I've found that fills me with glee and delight is that it corrects muppets -> Muppets
Like yes actually, that one truly does deserve the respect of capitalization. Thank you for correcting me. I've seen the error of my ways
something about Toy Story toys is so strange to me. versions of animated characters based on real world toys, turned back into toys that are slightly different than the actual toys. slinky dog with a rubber spiral instead of a classic metal slinky. the porcelain bo peep and cloth woody turned into jointed plastic action figures. when toy story 4 came out and i saw a $30 talking action figure of forky, a character made out of a spork and a pipe cleaner, i stood in the walmart toy aisle staring at it like cameron from ferris bueller's day off staring at that painting in the art museum
