Sonic and the black knight was the first wii game i got for myself as a kid. But it also came at a time when i was so very fixated on every spin-off 'reincarnated king arthur' or 'camelot isekai' that existed. I think it actually re-wired my brain a little to get to the very end and find out sonic was a king arthur.

It is important to me that people understand that most of my fandom stuff has two background headcanons.

First) That Sonic was raised almost entirely by chao. Eggman was the first non-chao person he can remember meeting and that almost immediately led into the events of the first sonic game. Until shortly before the events of Sonic Adventure, or Sonic OVA, Sonic was non-verbal.

second) the events of Sonic and the Black Knight were time travel, rather than alternate dimension. If historians on Mobius dig back far enough they would have a lot of questions about, why does this person who's actions sound like Mordred look like Sonic the Hedgehog.
