some other poet's notes
DRIFTING [April. ] Drifting in a sultry day on the sluggish waters of the pond, I almost cease to live and begin to be. A boatman stretched on the deck of his craft and dallying with the noon would be as apt an emblem of eternity for me as the serpent with his tail in his mouth. I am never so prone to lose my identity. I am dissolved in the haze. - The Journal of Henry David Thoreau, 1837-1861
The first sentence especially I find strikes at the heart of what we refer to as this life. Many people claim they want to be, but what is that.

Why do I feel like the more I chase after my dreams, the more I start to accept that my family is different from me?
A Typical Tuesday
It was a Tuesday when it happened
You walked through the door
as if I was never here
As if we never were
I counted the times
the acacia tree branch knocked
on the stained glass window by our bedside
1…2…7…49…105
I hoped it was you knocking
through that door on a Tuesday morning
because I am still here
Another Tuesday
my eyes still locked on the floor
where your shadow used to be
when you walked through that door
as if I was never here
because we no longer were
Yes, when people break things, they should try to fix it or apologize, sincerely, and attempt to find a solution.
That is not a "sorry" ... but ...
Please do not apologize for someone's boundaries or the correct and appropriate responses that come from blatant disrespect and harm.
Definitely don't apologize for lack of sympathy/consideration/'empathy' with one person but not another.
Do not apologize for someone else's emotions. We know what they are and they are valid. Yes, more so than anyones' supposed lack of awareness and accountability. (If there's an awareness to unawareness, guess what? 🚩)
Apologize for actions and damage caused, sincerely.
The whole run away, say nothing, or cast blame where it did not, does not, exist (ahem... check the mirror) is getting old.
How many times does one need to repeat a cycle before realizing it's self-made? It stops when you stop it.
Audio Painting 01
Raw audio, aside from fade in/out and limiter in Audacity.
This is just noise; not all that harsh and it's a whole genre. Someone sent me this link below a few minutes ago and flipping through it while listening. It's art.
And
Art is magic. Art is science. It's all more than just trivialities to endlessly consume.
