`.Reunion | Doojoon&Nana
Doojoon peered over at her schedule as she spoke and then opened his hand as she offered it to him, taking it and reading it quickly, eyes scanning each days time table. âAha!â He said cheerfully, pointing at one of the columns. âLooks like we have Charms togetherâ He was pleased, as Charms was definitely one of his strong points and he loved being able to have something to compete with his cousin in. He was rather competitive with her. Before, he started out as something serious, seeing as she came from the more magical side of the family and he, well, didnât. He always felt like he was at a bit of a disadvantage, as she grew up with magic all around her and he had been blind and deaf to it his entire childhood up until he got his letter from Hogwarts. These days, though, their competitiveness was all in good fun, a way to motivate them to try harder, just so that they could best the other.
âRight well, you know, thatâs what my dad said I could say.â Doojoon explained quietly, shiftily kicking the sole of his shoe against the ground. âHe was under some impression that people would find out if I wrote it out on parchment.â He stuck his hands in his pockets, one of them playing with a bit of lint that he found within. âMy mom got real sick. My dad is kind of in denial. He thinks itâs just a regular muggle sickness but,â He lowered his voice even further. âIâm not so sure..â While at home, Doojoon had to care for his mother since she could no longer work and his father took on a second job. Although his mother was showing signs of improvement, Doojoon was worried that things really hadnât gotten any better and that his mom was just putting on a face so that he could go back to school.Â
Smiling upon hearing him, she nodded her head before nudging the other's arm with her elbow. "Charms, eh? Seems like I found myself another person to help me out with it. In case you don't know yet, I'm not that amazing with it." she said quietly, pouting slightly before she pushed her hair away from her face. Nana was quite certain that he'd be able to do just that. He was the type of guy who easily picked up with their lessons compared to her. That was at least something she observed when they'd study together. There was just this aura to him that he was that type of person. Hopefully, he was. Nana could really use more people to help her out. She had never been all too competitive with the other, always wanting to be the one to cheer him and help him out in time of need. They were family after all and he was the one cousin that she never saw that much, due to reasons that she had no idea whatsoever.Â
Nana blinked a few times, hearing about what his dad was saying. She had heard from her own father that he wasn't exactly all that happy with the family. She didn't know anything else after that. It was just some family conflict that was left untouched to avoid further questions. Her eyes grew wide as she continued to listen to him, surprised to hear all that from him. "Your mom..Doojoon, you should have told me." she said with a nod, crossing her arms as she turned her head away momentarily. "I mean--I could have at least tried something to help you out. Did you at least had her checked in the hospital or did your dad stop you? Because if you think of it that way..." She shook her head, not wanting to think of anything else happening, but she did want to help him. In anyway possible, she would do absolutely anything for him. "Is she really doing good though?"
