    “Reporting for duty Zhuge.” [Liao Hua would take a step into Chengdu’s main hall, that of which was mostly empty, save for Hua, Liang ,and a few posted guardsmen. After taking a slight bow before the Chancellor out of respect, Hua would stand at attention, and await any words or instructions from the Chancellor.]

And here was one of the people he wished to see, though it was as a brief meeting before their forces were to split up. "Lord Liao Hua." He greeted and bowed his head in a similar form of respect. "I wish to ask you.... to accompany Guan Yu at Fan Castle. I fear that as our main forces will be in Hanzong, there should be people at Fan Castle, just in case. I can only hope my predictions are wrong for once... and nothing will happen."

"With the way the morning was, I believe it will be a good day for the both of us, Xu Shu." The Chancellor offered a light smile before looking up towards the sky. "A good day leading to a good week for us."

"I see.. and um i choose.. black." since she would understand the game by watching him go first.

"Then I will be white." He offered a light smile before setting down one piece and picking up one of the black pieces. "The objective of the game is to create no more moves for your opponent... and you can only move by capturing a piece, like I did. Now, my lady, it is your turn."

      Once he leaned back, Ma Dai lifted a hand to run one of two gloved hands back through his wild mess of hair. He offered a broad, genuine smile in response to Zhuge Liang’s wise, philanthropic words, and moved to tuck his hat under his arm in a show of respect rather than placing it back upon his head.

      “What altruism!” He beamed in confidence, though the words that followed next, although spoken in the same tone, were indeed contradictory in light of Shu’s perceived kindness.

      “However, I can’t say Cao Wei would let that kind of opportunity pass them by. I don’t think we should underestimate them—not that you don’t already know.” They were grieving, yes, but an animal that is wounded and backed into a corner was always the most dangerous.

"No, if my predictions are correct, one of two things is going to happen... While we have secured Hanzong, I can't help but still feel unsettled about something..." Now, he seemed pensive and deep in thought. Though he had the upmost faith in most of the people in Shu (With the exception of Wei Yan, he just did not find the brute to be ample company), there was still that spark, that inkling of a gut feeling something terrible will happen, though as to what it was, he could not tell.

His gaze fell on the direction of Fan castle, where the second half of their expansion was taking place, and although things were looking up in Hanzong, a dark cloud covered the area to the south over Fan Castle...

"Either we will lose one, possibly even two of our own, or we will secure ourselves for future expansions." He could not tear his gaze away from those foreboding clouds off in the distance, knowing there were probably many more following behind them. Yes, something was definitely going to happen at Fan castle, and whether it would make or break the entirety of Shu, that was the determining factor. "I fear for the entirety of the Guan family, and our relations with Wu..."

She had sat on the grass looking at the board.  “I’m just glad it’s a good day today, but it’s also fun to learn new things once in a while..” she admitted.

"If you stop learning, then you stop growing and living. That is what I believe." He murmured and set up the pieces. "The objective of the game is to have the most of your colour on the board, and make it so that your opponent cannot take any more of your pieces. White goes first, then black. Which would you prefer being, my lady?"

"I truly need no thanks. If you wish to learn, then you should learn." Reaching into his overcoat, he pulled out a small case and set it down. "While playing on a table is preferred, the grass is nice today, and it is just as easy to play like this."

"Go? I never played it before.." she admit yet her father in law was about to teach her, but he was very busy.

"If you wish, I could show you. Maybe then you would be able to surprise your Father-in-law with what it is you have learned." And possibly send a message through the game, but that was a different story.

"The same could be said to you, my fair Lady. I do not truly have any business at all, but am travelling. There has been some time of peace, I decided to travel."

"He is he has been working hard and been sleeping..so yup he’s fairing well!" she admit since he was a bit old.

"I see. It is a good thing he has been well. Maybe once everything dies down, we could possibly play a game of Go."

"Uh-huh that pretty pretty dress he wears? my father said he is a female from wearing it so I guess he was right!" she smiled.

"I suppose he is." This time, he lowered the fan and looked directly at the young woman. "Tell me, how is he faring? With the way you speak of him, I suppose he is doing quite well."

"It would be a dull world without our little clashes."

"You know my father in law Lady Sima Yi?" she said turning her head to the side at him.

Oh? Well this is interesting. The idle chatter seemed to be pushed to the side, and now he was truly interested. "Lady Sima Yi? So he wears the dress I sent him." Oh, he couldn't hide the slight smirk on his face, even behind his fan.

"Yes, I know your Father-in-law, my Lady. I am Zhuge Liang."

"That fan…My father in law has that fan but..purple yet..it has blades inside of them.."

"That sounds like a certain person I know... Although we are more likely to butt heads than to sit and sip tea."

"A Shu officer..?" she said looking at the man, he looked very smart than her father in law.

"You are correct, my lady." He kept his fan in his hand, just in case. He was not expecting to run into anybody from Wei anytime soon while visiting the outskirts of the Shu-Wei border. "Please, I would rather not have to come to harm a woman if I can help it."

      “I apologize, Prime Minister.” He responded quickly before moving to bow. The familiar hat that rarely left the unruly mess of hair slid forward from the action before being removed altogether in a show of respect. It was swept down against his armoured chest in the grasp of his left hand, while the other curled behind his back, and the now-exposed mane that was just as wild as one might have believed it to be brushed forward only briefly over his bright eyes.

      “I was eager to inform you, but it seems you’ve already been informed.” Ma Dai replied as his head lifted, and the content traces of a pleased grin smeared across the width of his face. “Was this the outcome you were hoping for?”

At the other's bow, he bowed his head slightly, but not as deep as the other's own bow, for he was of higher status as Prime Minister, yet still, he could be humble. "It is alright. I had already figured that if not you, then someone else would have been just as eager to spread the news of defeating his rival." The first person to mind, Huang Zhong, surely must have been in high spirits.

"Indeed." He brought his hand to his chin in thought, almost seeming to be lost in it. "Now, we have somewhere to call our own, and begin preparations for a proper campaign. First we must solidify our defenses in Hanzhong, then we can focus our troops on gaining more territory, and whittling at Cao Cao's forces' morale... But we will be benevolent, and give them ample time to grieve. The blade has already pierced through the flesh, and is embedded there. Twisting it now would only be cruel."

At first, the famed strategist was pouring over scrolls and documents, almost as if trying to find something specific. He picked up one scroll to unravel it on his desk, and then started to seemingly compare the text found on both scrolls. "Interesting..." It was more to himself before he heard the sound of footsteps behind him, and looked over his shoulder. "Ah-" Now he focused on re-rolling the scrolls to show his unexpected guest the proper treatment he should receive when visiting.

"I would kindly suggest you to notify me before you show up out of the blue, Ma Dai." Now he slowly got to his feet to properly address the young man. "I heard Wei lost one of their famed generals. It's one step closer to achieving our land of Benevolence our lord desires."

"I'm quite content where I am by my lord's side... there's no reason for me to leave as of yet when my duty is here, but... Jing Province has always been rather pleasant... I wouldn't mind visiting there again."
