Jin let out a soft chuckle. “What is it, Jungkookie?”
“Well, I was just wondering if you know how beautiful you are.”
Jin’s hands stopped folding his own clothes and finally looked up, his eyes wide.
Jungkook had seen pages upon pages of unspoken confessions from his stolen glances at Namjoon’s secret songs for Jin.
Songs that will never reach the ears of whom they’re meant to be heard.
Namjoon had the chance, every god damn chance in the world to say the right words in all the right opportunities aligned for him by the unjust cosmos and yet he chose not to.
He chose not to while Jungkook rot away in a corner hidden behind the false pretense of a ‘best friend’ when all he wanted was to sing his heart out with all the right words in all the wrong chances and missed opportunities.
So, the least he could do was to utter them with the convenience of friendship.

“I’m looking for Jin-hyung.”
“That doesn’t answer my question, kid.”
“I’m his childhood friend,” the kid answered irritably as if he had the right to be irritated. “And who are you?”
If looks could kill, Yoongi thinks as the kid in front of him glares at him with blatant contempt.
Yoongi is this close to committing homicide when the kid pushes him aside and rushes past him, pulling the speechless Jin into a tight hug and chanting Jin’s name over and over like an answered prayer.
