Sometimes, cosplay can ruin your life (read: make things quite interesting)

I started cosplaying Loki when the Avengers movie came out. This is tangential to the rest of the content of this post/

So, near the end of last year, there was a group order for some Tom Hiddleston Minimee heads. In my excitement, I ordered 2, one in NS and one in white. Then I began to reconsider, so at the last possible moment, I asked the GO leader if I could just get one, and could I please have the white-skinned one? But it was too late! For an order for an NS head had already been placed for me.

BUT! The GO leader told me that she could keep my NS head and order a WS head for me during the next round of orders, if I could wait for it, so I decided, eh, why not. So I waited. And waited. And waited. And realised that the white skin was brilliant paper-white, which would be intensely hard to match and paint. But, well, I was already waiting, so I decided to just wait some more.

Then the heads arrived, and it turned out that there were 2 WS heads short, so the GO leader asked if anyone would be interested in swapping out to an NS head instead, which I happily agreed on, because by now, I'm thinking, NS has got to be easier to match.

Then I realised that she was planning to sub one of her own personal NS heads for the WS heads first. 

So it seems that the original NS head I ordered will probably end up coming to me in the end. After months of pointless waiting. When I could have gotten it quite awhile ago.

I've been Loki'd by a head.

And this is not the first time things like that happened to me after I started cosplaying Loki... connection? >_>

Does anyone know what bodies would match Soom’s CW resin?

My friend’s buying an Adamelli head and is curious what body she should get to go with it (and I can’t find any Soom Little Gem CW bodies on the market place)

I made a deliberate effort not to crossdress my boys when I first got them, and when I was very much into VK. I didn't want them to fall into the old yaoi VK crossdressing Gary-Stu stereotype.

After I fell out of love with VK (mainly cos the bands I liked were almost all gone), I went ahead to crossdress my dolls whenever I felt like, because I refuse to be confined to gender norms. :) I think a manly man in a girly dress can look very intriguing.

And one more. A bit blurry, but I think I managed to pass it off as the effect. /shifty eyessss.

The troika of Chalcos, Vivid, Reason and Perdition, all who seem mildly distracted by the Lady in Green. The little girl there is Rue, and she's not amused.

Finally got a chance to do take a group shot of almost everyone. Two tinies and a bunch of heads are missing, but otherwise, this is my collection. :) It's been a little more than 7 years now, and I think I'm close to done (and yet, I've said that many, many times over the years. XD).

So, the tinies are all from Soom, except for the little cat, who's from Rapa's Factory, now known as RAMCube.

On the left, my one and only Volks boy, bought second(?)hand from a local collector. He's a Chris, and I was told that he was 8 years old last year, so by now he would be nine.

In the middle, my two darling Dollshes, whom I've rambled at length about lately. Misha is my newest doll at this point in time, and Camui was my first doll.

On the level below, two Luts Delf boys, who are usually girls. I love their legs, love, love, love. But I kinda hate the one piece torso. Unfortunately, they are both of odd colours and Fairyland is really expensive. XP On the plus-side, they look very good in Dollheart outfits for SD10/13 girls, and can wear high-heel shoes (and stand in them!).

Lastly, there are my Chalcos, one of each skintone. I'm still looking for a bronze one, but kinda half-heartedly, because I think three looks more balance. XD

Looking at the pic now, I realise that half my dolls are blond, and the other half brunette. XD Just one redhead, and one with blue hair. Incidentally, most of them have blue/green/blue-green eyes too. Seems like I know what I want. XDD

This may be an irrational fear but...

I'm starting to get really paranoid about recasts. I'd be browsing around the marketplace, looking for good deals, but when I find one, I start wondering, is this legit? What if I end up spending money on a non-legit doll? I'd be so pissed.

I remember seeing somewhere an anon asking for Dollshe recasts. I wish upon that person, and anyone else who wants one, persistent inconvenient gastric problems for the rest of their lives. Because art theft is not a capital offense, so it would be overreacting to wish death upon anyone for it, or even permanent injury. :\

I got my first bjd when I was a student with no income. I had enough for the doll, and that was about it. But it came with eyes, as most do. And I went ahead and invested some effort into making a wig and some halfway decent clothes. Thing is, if you can't afford wig/eyes/clothes/faceup, then it might be prudent not to put pictures up where people can judge you for lacking them until you have put some time and effort into acquiring those items, or saving for them. That or you can take artistic nudes. 8D

My extremely girly Luts Delfs both possess male bodies, and are made up to look like girls. If people believe they are girls, great! If people choose to refer to them as guys, great too! Screw heteronormativity! <3
