Moriarty and Moran fitting together and understanding each other because they are alike in some ways yes but also because they are different
Moriarty being asexual and largely indifferent to sex and Moran being a promiscuous allosexual who loves sex but Moriarty also having a mind which runs so fast that it might destroy itself if he doesn't find distraction sometimes and him finding a wonderful distraction in sex and other physical intimacy with Moran
Moriarty seeing everything because that's just how his brain works and Moran seeing everything because he's a hunter and a soldier and he's been hurt and mistreated and is so watchful and wary because of that
Moriarty being averse to being touched much just because he's autistic and Moran craving physical touch but also being touch averse because he has experienced abuse
Moriarty being the brilliant mathematician and Moran absolutely hating mathematics but he's a genius at calculating how to take even the most difficult shots perfectly
Moriarty being so good at working complicated plans out but having no interest in all the smaller details of them and Moran being excellent at working out all those smaller details and actually putting Moriarty's plans into action
(And of course Moriarty being domineering and Dominant and Moran, despite his cockiness and despite him usually taking a more dominant role in sex with other people, actually longing to submit to someone he can trust completely)
Licking and chewing on this. Jim being touch adverse due to autism and moran needing touch but also being adverse because of abuse and them finding solace and enough trust and comfort that they both feel comfortable enough to have sex is making me sob.
