I hope Carl paid real close attentive attention to what Negan said about Rick. Negan had to remind them that Rick is willing to subjugate himself and be humiliated because it is was for the family’s survival. I hope Carl realised that it’s not about forceable control, it’s mutual respect and understanding that makes a true leader and Rick is all that and more.
