i think the simplest example of this is things are nearly always a he at default, if it’s a fantasy creature *he’s* doing something, if it’s an inanimate object it’s often a *he* - everything must be attributed masculinity because that is a societal default and unless something explicitly preforms and acts out femininity in its entirety (and even if it does, that isn’t often enough as is the case with transmysogynists) it is a he in some way and even if *he* isn’t used it’s dude or bro or any other thing that can be dismissed as something other than male defaultism.
