your recent tags were the first today ive seen talking about him in a positive sense and talking about who he was not how he passed it truly made me smile, thank you so much

I’m glad to know it made you smile. Right now, I’m very happy. In a weird….dull sense. Thankful I guess. People don’t last forever, and for some, they leave earlier than what is wanted. But nothing in life lasts forever. I think I’m finding solace in acknowledging this.

I love the sun, so much. I love the warmth of coffee, so much. But the sun sets, and eventually the steam from my coffee cup disappears. The duration coming to an end doesn’t mean that I can’t relive their beauty. The day will be new. And I can always reheat my cup. Much like this, I can relive how beautiful of a man he was through videos, spoken + translated word, and his music. He may have left physically, but like the sun and the warmth of a coffee cup - we can meet again. Even if it is in thought alone. His light will never leave us, therefore I don’t want to dwell in the dark for too long.

I know this is a selfish notion, but this thought alone helps me keep my chin up. He blessed so many lives, and shared so much with us. Things that can never be taken away from us. He did so well. It hurts to have lost him, but the light that he brought in simply existing deserves to be acknowledged.
