I am a 33-year-old Moamen from Gaza. I stand before you as someone who is trying to support my family of 5: me, my wife and my three children, in the miserable conditions we live in after the occupation launched the war on Gaza. We were displaced from our home and it was completely destroyed. We now live in a tent. Due to the circumstances and the lack of income, we are unable to provide the necessary support such as food and drink due to the crazy rise in prices. Thus, my source of livelihood has been destroyed, in fact completely destroyed, as we are no longer allowed to work; and we expect to live in miserable conditions in tents. It is difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face every day on the street; without food, medicine or clean drinking water; with the oppression, helplessness, psychological pressures, doubts and daily trauma caused by everything around us and the inability to care for our loved ones. The fear of danger, illness and death never leaves us.
“Now I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly ask you to help me save the lives of my family, especially my infant, by getting us out of Gaza to Egypt and building a new life outside Gaza, or helping us get out of Gaza. We need money to buy the necessities that we may be able to afford. Asking for help is not easy, but we had no other choice because we want to survive and try to rebuild our shattered lives. We are very grateful for any help you can provide, no matter how small, because your help will go a long way in alleviating our suffering. Fahed's sister's family of 5 fled south as well, and the 13 of them remained together. But after 14 months of surviving hell as a unit (and nearly reaching their campaign goal) the family is now facing one of the worse decisions imaginable: who will be able to evacuate Gaza and who will be forced to stay behind.
There may be an opportunity for evacuation soon, but they're bracing for separation, with Fahed staying behind with his sister and her family. It's hard enough reunifying in Gaza, but with the border with Egypt between them, there's no telling when (or if) they'll ever see each other again. It shouldn't be a choice this family has to make: who survives, who may not. Their kids shouldn't be forcibly separated from their dad, nor Reem from her husband.
Fahed & Reem are some of the kindest, gentlest people ever, and their kids are dazzling, just absolute sweethearts. They've all lost so much and experienced too much, and somehow, kept finding a way to endure.

In one of the afflicted corners of Gaza, Mohamed Al-Khaldi, a man in his twenties, took his heavy steps amidst the chaos of life. Mohamed, known for his resilience and patience, worked as a freelancer, spending long nights behind his computer screen, striving to ensure a decent life for himself and his small family.
Before the war, his life was filled with challenges, but he never knew despair. He began saving to cover the costs of his apartment with great difficulty, and his joy was indescribable when he finally got married after a bitter struggle. His wife, whom he loved deeply, was always his support, encouraging him every time he felt the burden was heavier than he could bear.
But the war... that merciless war turned everything upside down. The early days were filled with fear and anxiety, and Mohamed struggled to provide for his simple household amidst the shelling and explosions. One day, while he was trying to bring some basic necessities for his family, a missile fell nearby, and he was hit by shrapnel in his head.
Mohamed was transported to the hospital amidst sounds of crying and prayers. In those tense moments, he thought only of his wife, who was expecting their first child, and the home he had built with his patience and struggle. The pain was intense, but the fear for his loved ones was even greater.
Despite everything, Mohamed slowly recovered. A scar remained on his head, a witness to those difficult moments, but it was also a testament to his resilience. After returning home, he saw his wife with a smile that wiped away all her sorrows. She held a picture of the ultrasound showing their upcoming child and said to him:
"Mohamed, we are stronger than anything, and this child will be a symbol of the life they couldn’t destroy."
On that day, Mohamed realized that despite all the hardships he had gone through, life is worth living, and no matter how harsh the war is, love and hope are stronger.
