2019 Rolex 24 Race Winners! 🙌
📰 Race recap: https://fa14.eu/2019Rolex24
Chapter 4: "McLaren's Fall"
Fernando joined the McLaren-Honda project, coming from Ferrari, in 2015. Honda failed to make any progress in 2015, but after making solid steps forward through 2016, things looked promising for the upcoming years.
After making again multiple steps backwards in 2017, McLaren finally decided to drop Honda and replace them with Renault. Although McLaren had their best season in 2018 since 2014, the car wasn't good enough for podium fights at any point.
Fernando had to finish his F1 career after an unfortunate and disappointing final stint with McLaren, but will continue to fight with the team for the Tripple Crown and beyond.
#ThankYouFernando
What a race. What a career. Driver of the day.
Thank you for everything, Fernando!

Chapter 3: "The Ferrari Years"
Fernando joinned Ferrari in 2010 and replaced Räikkönen. In his first year, he won the Italian Grand Prix in a red suit, he's still the last driver to do so today.
Fernando came close to the title both in 2010 and 2012, but in the end, 7 points in total seperated him from being a 4 time WDC.
Although the 5 years at Ferrari didn't bring a title, Fernando won some of his most memorable Grand Prix - such as the 2010 Italian GP, 2010 Singapore GP, 2011 British GP, 2012 Malaysian GP, 2012 European GP, 2013 Spanish GP and more.

Chapter 2: "Two Stars for Renault"
Fernando continued to make progress in his career, becoming Renault race driver in 2003. He became the youngest pole sitter and race winner as well, at the time.
He would continue his great young career in 2005, where he beat Kimi Räikkönen to his first drivers world championship title. He would become the youngest a two time world champion in 2006, after beating Michael Schumacher, eventually sending him into retirement.
#MerciFernando
Chapter 1: "Humble Beginnings"
Fernando started his F1 career with Minardi in 2001, at the time, he was the thrid youngest driver to start a race.
The PS01 Minardi was the slowest car of the year, but Alonso impressed nevertheless, beating Tarso Marques multiple times by great margins, leading to eventually earning himself a role as Renault test driver for 2002.

“This weekend we performed much better than we expected and I think we had the possibility to take some points today, so it’s a shame that we had to retire so early in the race.” . [📄] Race Recap ➡️ https://fa14.eu/2Q1oGYn [📸] McLaren
