Blake hadn’t just gone to the store. She’d been running around with Ardesia to get the perfect Valentine’s surprise for JJ. Ardy already knew she was spending the night at Jason’s since he had nothing planned. The young girl had gotten Jason a present as well.

Blake had dropped her daughter off and ran to the liquor store to grab JJ’s favorite drinks. On her way home Blake drove past the bakery that she andJJ had gotten their wedding cake from. Suddenly she had an idea and headed inside to see if they had anything her wife would like.

It took her a little longer than expected to get home but Blake snuck in and set everything up, changing into her favorite silk nightie. One that not only she adored but her wife adored on the floor.

Once Blake was satisfied with the setup of the date, a cozy movie night with all JJ’s favorite snacks, she went to find her darling wife.

JJ smiles when Blake walks in, and then her eyes go wide as she sees what Blake is wearing. “Oh, wow… Love…” she’s left breathless, and she gets up and walks over to her, and hugs her tightly.

“Happy valentines, darling. I… have I told you how much I love you yet today? Because I do. I’m… shocked you’re home so early honestly. I thought you’d be working later. Not that I’m complaining, of course…” She can’t help but steal a quick kiss.

“Especially not when you look this stunning.”

“I took the day off my love. Spent it with Ardy planning something for you.”

The words were filled with mirth as Blake wrapped her arms around JJ’s middle. Peppering featherlight kisses to her beloved’s jaw, neck, and shoulder.

“Went to that bakery we got our wedding cake from. Got some cute treats I think you’d like.”

JJ giggles and kisses Blake softly. “Mmm… that sounds amazing…” she smiles at Blake. “You being home means I haven’t gotten ready yet, myself.” She teases with a wink.

Blake murmured as she saw JJ’s growing frustration. She hadn’t been aware JJ had made big plans. Usually they would talk about plans ahead of time but having been with Ardy’s excitement all day Blake had forgotten to ask.

“I also set up a movie night.”

I… I assumed you’d be working either in one of the clubs or handling patrol, so my plans were more… scheduled around it…” She kisses Blake’s cheek.
