more seo woojin thoughts
woojin being the middle ground (sort of) for both EJ and KDJ in episode 14 (aka asking DJ about his true intentions, calling EJ out on the immature boycott), makes me love him even more. it's one of my favorite things about him— even when he's angry/upset, he seeks to understand the other parties first, if the situation calls for it.
they're both completely different situations but— it also reminds me of when he found out about dr. bae’s father’s involvement with his family's debt. he was upset for a while, and understandably so, but was just as quick to reach out to dr. bae and hear his side of the story and sympathize. he is someone who would rather understand than point fingers, if he can help it. that really endears him to me because it shows that he’s got a genuinely good and kind heart, and is a lot more compassionate than people take him to be.
it's also why he opposed the boycott against KDJ. not only because it's immature, but also because he knows firsthand what it’s like. of course he wouldn't wish for EJ to take that path even though he is not fond of KDJ and his way of doing things.
“ 'Boycott' is just putting it nicely. It practically means making someone an outcast. ”
this immediately made me think of s2 woojin. ㅠ
p.s. - i feel like they did a disservice to EJ's character with the whole boycott subplot. she's always had that vanity about herself, but that was OOC even for her— if this was season 2, i could have believed it, but the EJ we saw in s3 seemed far more mature.
