This one's personal.

The last...eight months (?) have been rather stormy. The death of a parent will do that. Add all sorts of other personal trials of varying shapes and sizes, and it can start to feel like the clouds will never part. Thankfully, things have slowly but surely been getting better, and I wanted to try to capture that with my first real piece of personal art I've produced since my dad died. I don't know how successful I was, but I gave it my best shot, so I can at least feel good about that.

I've been dealing with some rather significant family stuff this week, and as such won't be able to finish this week's Mini in time for posting today. However, I did want to at least show a little snippet to let you know it's on its way.

That's right, we finally got married! And to celebrate, I'm posting a HUGE drop of new art and merch to my website. Speaking of next week, on Friday, 10/6, I'll be dropping a huge amount of new work into my online store. The drop will include:

-Prints of all Minis up to this point (9"x9", $10/each) -Original art of all Minis (11"x11", prices will vary) -Prints of some commissions that people have shown interest in (9"x12", $10/each) -All the original art from my Amazing Adventures of Superman books (prices and sizes vary) -Some random original pieces I recently found (most are 9"x12", prices will vary) -And I'll be reopening orders for prints of JL8 strips, including the most recent updates!

A week ago, news came down that Jeff Smith, creator and cartoonist of Bone, RASL, Tuki, and more, had suffered a cardiac episode. Being one of my absolute heroes, I wanted to do a piece to send him well wishes as he recovers. If you're not familiar with his work, I cannot recommend it enough.
