I think why Penelope/Marissa kept tabs on Lockwood & Co. so much was because she thought that Lockwood would be like his parents. I think she was scared he would try and succeed to solve the Problem. And when she learnt that he didn’t care at ALL she was like, “Never mind.” But when she learnt (from Ezekiel?) that Lucy was like HER she was interested and scared. She was scared Lucy would find a Type Three like her and learn all the secrets of the Other Side. What she didn’t bet on most of all was George.

if i said this is an intentional class critique…lockwood being on her radar as a member of a privileged class and considered a reasonable variable to watch for versus lucy and george being lower class and therefore not legitimized (an additional commentary on the commodification of talent/skill under capitalism, a system lucy&george intentionally opt out of)

So, tbosas drarry AU, where:

Draco and his cousin Daphne are all that remains of the once-luxurious House of Malfoy. The war with the rebels has taken a toll on many families. Draco works hard to hide their dire circumstances.

The 10th Hunger Games are a true revolution. The academy’s top students are appointed as mentors to the future tributes to make the Games more spectacular. Draco gets the tribute from the most miserable district — District 12 — a scrawny, downtrodden 17-year-old boy.

Harry Green Potter is an orphan who used to live with a wandering musical ensemble. He became a tribute by volunteering in place of his girlfriend. His chances of winning are slim, and he knows it.

Everything changes when Draco meets him at the station, bringing a narcissus flower. It seems he’s the only mentor truly interested in his tribute’s victory. Draco surrounds Harry Green with attention, trying to make the most of his position as a mentor. He doesn’t notice how he gradually falls for the charming tribute — and now, Harry Green’s survival in the arena occupies all of his thoughts.

Who knows — maybe the wandering ensemble has a couple of parselmouths lying around?..
