Emmylou Harris - My Father’s Place, Roslyn, New York, September 14, 1976
What a week! WHAT A WEEK. Let’s escape by going back to Long Island again. This is obviously very different from the My Father’s Place Television gig shared earlier, but it is equally worth your time: Emmylou Harris and her Hot Band tearing it up in ‘76. What a voice! It’s probably been noted before, but it occurred to me that even when she’s singing lead, Emmylou often still takes harmony parts. One thing (among many) that makes her stand out from other vocalists. Anyway, keep it cool and listen to Emmylou.
