Shooting for my video project on #Covid-19. Due to my country (Portugal) forcing a mandatory quarantine for all but basic needs, a quick walk around my hometown was all i could do. I took this time to record my soroundings.

Final Project Beyond the frame

Final setup of my #beyondtheframe project. Put up in a grid-like setup to mimick a CCTV monitor screen, the project titled face watch is about the current state of personal surveillance. The main subject of the project is me, wearing a self made abstract mask that hides my identity. Through a combination of long and close up shots, the subject is followed through his daily life. This is a personal but also more generalized approach to how much of our lives is constantly tracked. The mask symbolises the need to get away from all this distress, but also the anxiety and impact that comes with the simple act of hidding your face.
