Eventually Bones woke up being a light sleeper and cracked his eyes opened. Looking around he noticed that everyone was sleeping and smiled softly. “Joss,” he said quietly into her ear. “C’mon wake up darlin’. I think we ought to get the kids to bed.”
It took a bit to coax her awake, but finally she yawned, opening her eyes, “Hmmm?”
She looked around, before nodding, “Right … we were all exhausted.”
She gently slid Joanna into her arms, before standing, “Long day.”
He scooped up Jonathan in his arms and together the husband and wife tucked their children in.
As soon as the door was slightly closed behind them Leonard turned to her and kissed her passionately his hands flying up to her face.
Surprised at first, she returned the kiss, hands on his chest, “Len … Len I love you so much.”
Leonard smiled, “I love you too Joss.” Breaking away from the kiss he took her hand and led them into their shared bedroom.
She walked with him, smiling brightly, “Did you ever think we’d have all this?”
Shaking his head he answered, “No. Never did I think I would be so blessed and lucky to have such a beautiful wife and two healthy beautiful children.”
