Yo Grumbly I gotta share:

I made myself a kingly dinner. I'll describe it under the cut, à la "tag your porn"

I've had breakfast burgers at restaurants/gastropubs before so I appreciate the presence of having egg in a burger. I would have fried it but my experience of fried egg in a sandwich results in it going all over the place -- a situation I wished to avoid. Instead, I made a little onion, mushroom and garlic omelette. It serves the purpose of adding an egg without the danger of it losing its shape.

I did the burgers on a griddle pan on our hob and assembled the rest of my dish while they were cooking. I cut the crusty rolls in two, put mayo on one side and ketchup on the other, slipped in a slice of lettuce and grated some cheese on top.

Once they were well done, I plonked the burgers on, capped the lot with the top half of the bun and pressed it together. The heat started melting the cheese into the burger, and I cut each burger in two for the sake of convenience.

I played Sam's Town on my mobile and sank my teeth into this beauty. Sweet heaven, it was bliss. It had so much more flavour than the meat we usually have here. Just... gorgeous.

I goddamn savoured that burger. Every bite was spectacular and listening to what is, for me, such a nostalgic album made it all the better. It's the kind of thing you describe as "I had a moment", except that this stretched for some fifteen minutes or so.

I hope you all have an experience like that today. Whether it's from eating such delectable food, having a tranquil bath or just being able to enjoy legroom on the bus, may serenity wash over you.
