Look, I know she's evil and pulling the strings and there really WASN'T a choice, it's just the illusion...
...but DANG, the fact that she looks down and sees that Kenji caught up with Brooklynn, and doesn't freak out but just sits down and watches as all her friends run up...
...it's sick.
Again, it's manipulative, she has the Death Remote and an Atrociraptor, and Brooklynn knows she has both of those things...but there's also a question of whether or not Soyona would have Actually Used Them.
She already teased Brooklynn with her chance to leave before, back when she left the car. She baited Brooklynn to come after her. And it's more than possible that her motion for the remote was self-defense: if the Nublar 5 had chosen to storm the plane and/or wrestle Brooklynn away by force, she would have obviously used Red to protect herself.
But would she have killed them if Brooklynn had chosen to go with them?
There's no cut back to Soyona when Brooklynn looks back. No glare. No sign of her raising the bracelet and pulling out the remote.
It's not impossible that she would have let Brooklynn go if she'd chosen not to follow. She destroyed the lab and cleaned up her trail, she has business to take care of, the kids would have plenty of issues that would be fun to discuss, and she didn't really give Brooklynn too valuable of information, and had more than enough leverage to keep herself safe...so why not let it play out? Why not gamble a little? Have some fun?
And she wins.
She gives Brooklynn a choice, and Brooklynn chooses her. And it's really sinister if Soyona was going to let her go.
